Is Brad Stevens light years ahead of all other coaches?

It would be close, but Celtics had an obscene amount of injuries and have had a pretty stellar season in spite of that. Rockets had a lot of key guys coming in and out too and wound up with a historic season. At the end of the day either coach would deserve it but the Celtics had way worse injuries and still produced a top 5 record...

I watched nearly all Celtics games the first half of the season and believe Brad Stevens is the best coach in the NBA. Lots of reasons; too many to go into.

What's happening now reminds me of his Butler teams. They turn the opponents offense into uglyball by being physical, switching, helping the helper better than anyone else and making it difficult to drive to the rim unless the offense is very good at spacing.

Stevens is also very creative on offense. However, without Kyrie to keep their offense moving when everyone else goes flat, they should lose the series to the Sixers because of Embiid and Simmons. I don't believe they will be able to fluster the Sixers enough to win 4 games. But Redick, Belinelli and Saric have to starting hitting 3s. I've given up on Covington.
