Also they should point out that the Rockets iso off of switches. Historically, iso means your best offensive player going 1 on 1 vs his man (usually their best defender). It's ugly and ineffective.

To not point out that we iso with Harden vs their center is misleading.

 

Well... under the theory that clicking on all cylinders is all the guys at the best sustained rate of play they can be... no, no team can beat the GSW.

Because Curry/KD/Klay/Green is just better at their peak than any 4 Rockets players. That's not controversial or anything.

Doesn't mean the GSW will win, or should win. Maybe they're off. Maybe the Rockets are clicking and the pressure is making the Warriors off. Maybe the Rockets are all clicking on "all cylinders" in a way that the role players have never had over a sustained period - meaning like 40%+ 3 point shooting on volume from Gordon, Ryan, Ariza, Tucker, etc. Yeah... it's all possible.

AND... the Rockets style, imo, converse to what Jalen says, actually helps. ISO scorers, don't ask role players to do what they can't, a rim running big, switching all picks to at least somewhat mitigate the open 3s the GSW can get with their motion offense, etc.

Should be EPIC!!

 

Mike Dantoni is a pioneer as well. His suns team led the league in 3Ps attempted 3 years in a row, and after he went to New York, Knicks quickly became a top 3P team, then LAL became a top 3P team.

Besides, in the 6 years Harden played for the Rockets, we led the league in 3P attempted 5 out of 6 times, the GSW doesn't shoot nearly as much 3Ps as we do.
