Let's hope we can rest him for game 1 and slowly ease him back in. There should be a no dunk or dive rule in effect for the entire second round for Luc!
Yea hopefully he plays a little. He does need to get in rhythm and get some game time. Last time he came back from his injury he didn’t shoot the 3 well maybe this time he will start hitting those 3 sooner because we will certainly need Luc and pj to hit them against the warriors. I think only problem I say was his form wasn’t right. He was leaning as he shot his 3s and used a lot of wrist.
if he's "optimistic" he can sit out today. if we win, we may not need him for game 2 either. bring him back after that so he can get a couple games in before facing the warriors. that's when we'll need all hands on deck, and all shoulders in sockets.
Call from Dan: If MDA wants to take over, put EG on Donovan....I agree. Trevor is lanky, not as strong, but EG is thick and ready to make the rookie's life hll. Also: NeNe in the PNR when Gobert isn't there. Good points, Thunder.
Gordon's defense is underrated by a lot of people. And it never gets talked about when talking about Lou Will vs Gordon. If you wonder why Gordon is still in the game even when his offense is struggling....the reason is that MDA trusts his defense.
I am a big fan of Luc but have been a little worried about his shot selection for awhile now. He gets to the rim fairly easily but can not finish especially if there is someone near by. He needs to just kick it back out and regroup if the layup is just not there. I am glad he is aggressive but he needs to either draw a foul or make the layup otherwise it is a wasted possession. Here's to hoping he can put it all together in the next couple of games because we need his defense and hustle badly.
I am surprised at his production to be honest. I guess he got better being on the best team, that helped. I remember him from the Bucks and Clippers, where his ppg was around 6.
I remember him having one of them “scrub breakout” games against us. It was pissing me off. I look back and laugh at how much I underestimated him.
I appreciate Ariza for all the dirty work he does for us but he’s been getting blown by for years. I remember when we played the lakers in the playoffs and artest blew by him for a dunk. I remember thinking to my self that was the first time all year I seen Artest blow by a defender one-on-one with the first step all the way to the rim for a dunk. I instantly thought Ariza was an overrated defender
mitchell is going to be able to get by the best defenders in the league. that doesn't make ariza overrated.
