It's a shame they couldn't come up with some sort of other algorithm to reward the win to the pitcher that truly deserved it. But that would lend itself to a whole host of other problems I'm sure

 

How about just letting the official scorer decide it.

It's one of many reasons why the win loss is so damn stupid

How could you deserve the "win" if your team is not winning when all of your batters are accounted for?

Because your pitching clearly contributed more to the victory than anybody else.

 

Then the official scorer would be having to make a decision every single game as to who should get the win.

 

I'm OK with that, most of the time they would use standard rules. Frankly I don't care which reliever gets wins and losses.

Good series win, I'm hoping and expecting Lose-now to pick up an elite bullpen arm at some point. That's the only thing missing besides Ted's inevitable arrival.

 

I understand if the fan reaches into the field of play it's FI but if the fielder reaches into the stands it's FI too? That's a ridiculous rule.
