Does the fan get to keep the ball as he's escorted out?

EDIT...I know the guy. S*** will be given shortly.

That's close. Not sure that is definitive enough to kick fan out.

Clearly the right call on the out. But too close to eject or relocate the fan.

That ruling is interesting to me. The fan didn't really lean over much and he caught it at chest high. What was he supposed to do? If the A's player missed is the fan just supposed to take a baseball to the chest/groin?

You're not wrong...but he made contact with the glove. That's the issue.

That was a pretty damn nifty play there, Marwin.

Yuli's bad luck at the plate has followed him to the field.

Unlucky turn of events after the nice play by Margo.

I would say very likely the right call, but I don't like the angle.

Caveat: though could have missed a better angle.

Edit. Seeing a closer replay, he is clearly out.

What a BS unlucky bounce. Get some more insurance runs here--don't let Cole get robbed of yet another victory

From every angle I saw, looked like the fans arms were clearly in the field of play. That being said, the Astros need to put that guy along the first or third base lines to legally interfere with players reaching into the stands. It's ridiculous how often Astros fans back out of the way in those situations.

Probably would have scored anyway but that's 2 turf/field monster assists for the A's along with a fan assist
