Based on what I have been in the playoffs it looks like the Warriors took the Lebron route of not caring about the regular season. This pelicans team blew out the blazers and the warriors sans curry killed them, and curry is their best player. The cavs were playing pretty well in the finals and Lebron avg 33/12/10 @ TS63% and the warriors just went through them like nothing. Even if we are to say Curry+Durant==CP3+Harden. Klay and Green are starting look good. Maybe Clint can be our X-factor. Stern should have blocked the Durant move as detrimental to the league. Adding a mvp to a 73 win team should not be allowed. Lets hope he doesn't take a discount this year. I would be more hopeful if the warriors kind of struggled, but its not looking good. I think the rockets should sweep the jazz so I guess we will get our WCF soon enough. I hope we have some good games in WCF. I hope the rockets can pull it out, but it doesn't look fair.
Only if: - Harden & CP3 perform great together for 4 games - We hit our threes - Refs call some of their fouls at least - Rockets maintain their composure - No health issues
Let's beat the Jazz first. Rockets are the only team that can dethrone the Warriors. Warriors throttling the Pelicans in game one has some of you rethinking gravity. Calm down. Morey is obsessed.
We swept them. And they played their best, don't start saying it was regular season so they didn't care. They did. Be humble, be hungry = win.
as great as the rockets have been this year, WARRIORS are gonna WARRIORS. All their injuries towards the end of the year seemed like a front to me to rest their players, without making it too obvious. Even in the playoffs once they realized they wont need steph back, they continued to let him rest and "milk" the fake injury and get him the most rest possible before needing him for the WCF!!
Gordon has been terrible this playoffs. Maybe he can turn it around. That is why I only mentioned Clint.
Our second victory over them was a statement win. But that first game wasn't exactly their "best". They had like a 13 point lead but then Draymond got injured and didn't play that 4th quarter and that's when we made the comeback. The Warriors are definitely looking good. And they probably feel very comfortable about everything. Let's see how we handle the Jazz and maybe that gives us more reason to feel good. We're a 65 win team with two of the best players in the league and great role players along with home court advantage. We have a chance; but right now I'd say Warriors are favorites.
