Both fans were obnoxious, but neither went over the line...certainly not enough to justify Westbrooks response. I guarantee Westbrook is fined by the NBA for this. There is precedent.
I do agree with him about Utah fans being some of the worst. We've seen it for years when the Rockets go there in the playoffs; one of the reasons we hate the Jazz. Most recently, I remember the incident with the laser pointers a couple years ago when Harden had fans removed.
You don't know what the fans actually said. Clips on tv don't tell the whole story. Players don't just make up stuff like that. There's a line you just can't cross
I side with anyone against j*zz fans, they're racist and obnoxious. We'll see soon enough when we stomp them what a bunch of Mormons do when they are upset
We all know Jazz fans are the worst in the NBA, but he has to learn to control himself. What does he expect, for security to try to pick out each and every person that says something disrespectful that goes over the line? That's just not realistic.
He should get fined. Westbrook is an NBA employee. And the fans are the clients. Disrespecting the fans is far worse than disrespecting the refs.
I'm siding with Westbrook here and those of you who don't are just hating, since we all loved Maxwell for getting into it with fans who crossed the line. That being said, while Utah fans are probably up there as most disrespectful, trailer trash talking and downright despicable towards players, they at least show up in numbers and create an atmosphere that is downright intimidating! I rather have that in Houston, with some redneck farm boys using profanity towards opponents then what we have now.
