They are young. 1st time in Playoffs for the pups. Everyone knows the playoffs are another level, but until you are in it, you just don't know how much. Next year should be good for them, if healthy.
As someone who started following the rockets in 2007-08, I understand this sentiment. But trust me, the closer we get, the more up and down it's gonna feel, it's gonna be waaayyyyy more tense than anything during the Yao years, especially during the WCF and Finals (knock on wood of course).
I partially agree. I don't enjoy the ride as much when we are the favorites. Because we shouldn't lose, I end up watching games just thinking of how shitty I'll feel if we do lose and when we win I'm like okay good job we took care of business. I much prefer being the underdog, even if it's just the 2nd seed.
Yes. When we play well it's like damn we just put 30 up in 8 minutes on those poor kids. It's like watching a pro NFL team take on a pee wee football team sometimes. When we play poorly it's just hellishly frustrating. Obviously we're all enjoying the season, but I definitely have felt like I've watched the games with far less excitement and energy this year. Last night I sat for almost three hours with my arms crossed and a foul look on my face as I constantly critiqued our team's play. I didn't do that when we sucked, I just embraced the suck. Lol
Yes but the personell doesnt match the talent they have. Kat dieng gibson need a slow down game. Teague, jamal, butler and wiggins need an uptempo game. How can they coexist?
the best thing to me was the rockets had 55 points in the first half when their two top super stars who account for 50 points had only 7.. Cp3 and Harden make up for around 43% of the offence just off of their scoring, and they accounted for 12% of the scoring by first half, yet rockets were on pace to put 110 points in the game.. that just blew my mind.. we have such a smart offensive coach.. ofcourse our defense wasn't their so we allowed wolves to score 59 and then reeled them in the second half.. but knowing we have such explosive capability gives you such a strong sense of confidence.
1st rd was ok. However, it would of been sweet to take out SAS instead of the pups no matter how ugly we played. 2nd rd will be much more rewarding knowing we’ll have a chance to end the j*zz/ team Westbricks season.
heck no it was much sweeter taking out Minnesota.. this was a 51-53 win team had butler not gone out with injury.. with him they were winning at 62% win rate.. that equates to about 52 wins.. Butler would have been top 5 in MVP voting had he not had injury issues.. They also have a bonnified superstar in Karl Anthony who was made to look very ordinary, but lets not make a mistake this guy is a 50-40-90 guy.. he put up 55% fg with 42% 3pfg and 88 %fts... Wiggins who averaged 24 ppg this season saw his scoring drop to 18 ppg due to addition of Butler, but is a legit scorer, and then the 29 year former allstar teague who quietly put together 15 points and 7 assist, Taj gibson who averaged 12.5 ppg and 7 rpg has been a pretty solid PF.. then they have crazy crawford multi six man winner and one of the most explosive off the bench guys along with rejuvenated rose.. this team is not an 8 seed, we should have been seeing them in round 2.. in many ways warriors probably got their perfect scenario with us seeing a damn talented team like wolves in first round and either of jazz/okc combo in round 2.. while they see a joke of a spurs and are you kidding me pelicans in round 2.. its embarrassing how lucky they have been
Maybe fans secretly prefer things like last years Spurs series so they can be fired up about something. Winning is boring. Much better to be talking about trading Harden, firing D’Antoni, debating if we should keep CP3 or let him go, if Morey needs to stop telling everyone to shoot 3s cause it loses in the playoffs... Sometimes I do wonder if there’s a huge segment of the fan base who’d rather be talking about that than dominating a playoff series.
I don't want to go back to when TOFs kept making stupid 'what if' scenarios about the first round and saying dumb stuff like T-Mac > LeBron or Kobe But T-Mac brings the new and older generation together now on ESPN You have TOFs and Max Kellerman fans watching the same channel
