I dunno, I never watched him regularly until this year. At the absolute worst he's a great backup catcher.

"framing" is a thing that's been around since the invention of baseball, it's just talked about a lot now; but there's a ton to being a catcher other than that.

Just makes Roy O's back-to-back 20 win seasons in '04 and '05 look that much more incredible.

Keuchel's 20 win season in 2015 was pretty cool, too.

It was my second message board to join on the interwebs and I joined because of a fantasy baseball group we had. I've been friends with these guys for almost 20 years now and have attended over 20 games at Yankee stadium thanks to them. It also gives em a reason to visit NY every year which I love and we are known to have a great damn time. Ain't no half steppin'.

Good, not great is how I remember it, and there was concern about his ability to throw out runners following his shoulder injury.

He's doing what he can to lay claim to the wide open starting job for next season.

This month (April) could mark the FIRST in MLB History with more K's (5,562) than hits (5,174).

Excerpt from just another article about the Astros great pitching....

According to the Baseball-Reference Play Index, the Astros’ eight-game streak of preventing two or fewer runs tied four other clubs for the second-longest of the post-1992 expansion era:

Longest Streak, Two or Fewer Runs Allowed, Since 1993
    Team Start End Games W-L
    Astros 8/18/15 8/26/15 9 7-2
    Astros 4/16/18 4/23/18 8 6-2
    Nationals 6/19/15 6/28/15 8 8-0
    Pirates 9/16/14 9/23/14 8 7-1
    Diamondbacks 8/9/02 8/17/02 8 8-0
    Braves 9/4/93 9/11/93 8 7-1
