ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 4/23/2018 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 4)

We had several mediocre quarters before that amazing third and I'm glad they had that amazing quarter of basketball, but I would prefer consistent quarters of good basket from here on out. The goal is to win a championship.

I'd be surprised if it goes more than 1 game, I'd be shocked if it goes more than 2 games. I'd be devastated if it goes goes more than 3 games. Game 4, Rockets took Minny's heart. I don't think they have much left.

Feigen had this statement in his 3 Points article

Pretty much sums up what you were saying. That first quarter was bad. Just out of rhythm. 3rd quarter, that running bank floater, that mid range shot. He was just playing in rhythm. Not all shots will be 3's and regular layups. Rockets need Harden in rhythm and if that means midrange to get "a lather" then so be it.

 

The only time he didnt meet expectations was when lol that 3-1 lead comeback happend and even then, he's always played well. His team has always let him down. Blake Griffin was either mediocre or kept getting injured.

 

OMG, that compilation is F-ing hilarious! In tears! "Reggie, Rose." That stood out to me big time, but didn't catch the others.

So if the Rockets win tomorrow night and Utah-OKC doesn't go 7 games, Game 1 of the Semifinals will be Sunday. If Luc won't be reevaluated til next week, it sounds like he's gonna miss at least the first couple games of the 2nd round.

BTW, that's a tough turnaround for the Jazz if they need 6 games to beat the Thunder. They'd have to play here less than 48 hours after finishing off OKC.

Does anyone know if it would be a day game if it were moved to Sunday? I really hope it stays evening so that I will be able to watch

 

Probably depends on the rest of the first round series and if any of them go to a Game 7. That would be pretty sh-tty of the NBA to make Utah play Friday night in Salt Lake City(if there's a Game 6) and then Sunday afternoon in H-Town.

 

Same. I'm working until 6. I like knowing the schedule ahead of the time so I can arrange my work schedule.

 

Read someplace that only 5 teams had a better defensive rating with both Tucker and Luc in the lineup. Without Luc, it drops to somewhere between 16 and 17th. If this is accurate, Luc's play transform the Rockets from mediocre to good defense to top notch.

Yep, he is sorely missed, but we don't want to rush him too early. Btw, Green has all the tools to at least keep himself in front of his guy. Why isn't he a better defender?
