ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 4/23/2018 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 4)

Both teams played like crap that quarter. Snoozer.

 

Rockets just aren’t a really good basketball team right now. The offense is straight up broken. Letting guys like Derrick Rose dominate them.

 

Off topic - but can we prevent the starting of threads outside of the game thread ( unless it's for injury or other major news )

Can we start playing like the 1st seed?

 

Problem is Paul can’t create enough separation after the pick. I don’t understand why Harden refuses to take the midrange. He’s open every time. His playing style is so weird. Can’t think of any superstar who would turn down open midrange. It’s like Morey created Harden in a lab.

 

the rockets can't lose this game. quite frankly, the t-wolves just aren't good enough. they haven't won consecutive home games against the rockets since 2012. this will be too easy.

 

Need a good start to the second quarter.

 

Problem is that they have been playing well for 5 quarters and we have played poorly for 5 quarters.

 

Since we clinched the first seed the team hasn’t played the same. Now it’s the playoffs and they have been playing the same way.

 

Panic button not pushed yet but Harden out of the gate, I mean I’m sorry if I just dont get it. I know tin foil time but he feels like he’s sabotaging our team. Get out the way bruh!

This is now about 11 bad quarters in this series.

 

The coach is too scared to tell James to play off the ball. The Rockets will unlock their true potential when that happens. Wtf happened to that baseline cut he use to run with Jeremy Lin. James makes his job too hard some times. He can score so much easier off the ball sometimes. Mix it up

 

Rockets have not looked the same since they clinched homecourt throughout the playoffs.

That whole “resting players” was bullsh!t.

 

Tracy never passed the first round, but the performance from T-Mac were outstanding in playoff games. He elevated his games in playoffs compared to Regular seasons.

and look at J-Harden, I am a Harden fan, but he still needs to prove himself in playoffs, and I hope he proves me 100% wrong.

 

I don't understand what happened to the offense. We're just doing a lazy switch to get Harden going one-on-one against a "preferred" defender. But the choices are Wiggins / Butler / Gibson all of whom have the length to bother Harden on drives since the shots aren't falling, especially since his shot isn't falling.

We need to get back to the High PnR with Clint. Bonus wrinkle, have another guy back-screen Clint's man so he has an easier roll to the basket.

 

Lol he's not quitting... He's missing shots and handling the ball carelessly.

If we lose this series im never watching espn again, lol god help us at half time. the tnt guys already hate us. it's like the Rockets have forgotten how to play.
