Full disclosure* I was fired from this place a year ago. I mentioned in the Starbucks thread I worked at two coffee plants in Houston. I had a permanent job at this place. I signed up for the union, both company belong to the same union. I was at Atlantic three months. I made a quarterly income meeting. The finance guys were stressing salary causing losses. These people tried to get an increase to a $20 an hour job a few years earlier in a damn near strike situation and lost to $16 an hr. It's a major function at both plants, it's a very trainable job. This place used to employ 1200 and was down 300. They were never gonna catch up because hourly wage were too high and non flexible I was fired for something I wasn't warned about but they wanted to get rid of me before getting out of probation and getting a wage increase. It still was stressful but obviously it didn't matter in long run https://www.houstonchronicle.com/bu...lant-to-roast-its-last-bean-this-12849385.php
