Adams is the key. He is clearly the most important thunder this series. Look at the +/- of the okc starters. Man Adams and gobert would look amazing as rockets. I knew westbrook would have a terrible series against gobert. I am enjoying it a lot.
I'm hoping Harden doesn't follow Westy's mental state because during the 4th quarter, triple-double fraudster had 0 shots. Clearly he gave up in the 4th and let Rubio become a monster by being lazy.
Exactly! We experienced that with Chandler "Best SF in the series" Parsons and James "They aren't even that good" Harden. Good thing Harden learned his lesson that he just let his play speaks for himself.
Whomever in here noted the tragedy of the Jazz in Red and Orange and not the Rockets was absolutely right. Going from hideous purple to the "Red Rocks/Sunset" motif was genius.
He has only one weakness, and that is his handle. This will improve over time. He was my favorite player headed into the draft, and I originally held out hope he might slip toward the Rockets until his ascent during the camps.
i can't believe it but i actually like the jazz this year. i mean i still hate them as a franchise, but this new group is winning me over. i'd also prefer to face them in the second round.
Jazz go as far as Rubio's shooting takes them. If Rubio can shoot at an average clip for a guard, Utah is a contender.
Russ is averaging 21, 11, and 10 on 36% from the field and 27% from deep to go along with over 5 turnovers per game and a 16 PER Are OKC fans starting to turn on Westbrick? just saw this comment There are two things costing OKC this series. Russ’ defensive effort and Russ’ decision making. Plain and simple. Russ continues to lose his man on D. He continues to not fight thru screens. He continues to not give the slightest **** what goes on when the other team has the ball. And Im sorry, but the national effort to crown Russ as some tornado of effort and intensity and passion is the biggest crock of ****. Russ, due to his natural athletic ability, moves quicker than 99% of the people on planet earth. Add a 6’3 frame with a muscular build, and he’s a ******* alien. So when Russ goes full tilt on offense or in transition, when his athletic prowess is on full display, it’s easy to mistake that speed and power and quickness for effort and will and determination. But do yourself a favor. Watch Russell Westbrook when the opposing team crosses half court. Watch the effort he gives on defense until the shot goes up. Does he fight thru screens? No. Does he keep an eye on his man? Hardly. Does he know what OKC is trying to do with their particular coverage and what kinda shot they wanna foeve? Of course not. If Russ is the leader and competitor that he and so many other people say he is, than he would be playing harder and more disciplined on defense. But he’s not, and it’s costing OKC the series. The second most glaring aspect of Russ’ game on Sunday was that Rudy Gobert had him shook. Shook in a way I’ve never seen. Shook so that he made even poorer decisions than usually in a game like this. OKCs opening possession of the game, Russ gets down hill and attacks the basket from the left side. Gobert is late and gives a below average contest, but Russ flubs what should have been an easy layup. It was clear he was thinking about Gobert because the shot went high and hard off the top of the glass. What felt like 30 different occasions tonight, he got in the pick and pop with Melo or PG and left his feet before making decision. Nearly all resulted in turnovers. Adams and PG played poorly, but if Russ continues to play like this then none of this matters.
If only Russ could lead like Rondo, OKC would have 4 titles by now. But instead, he's just out there guarding no one so he can get his rebounds and stats
REBOUNDING Utah Jazz out rebounded OKC 48-33 (13-6 offensive) in game 3. OKC's Adams had 2 rebounds. THAT, right there is how you beak the OKC Thunder. In Game 2 Jazz win, they out rebounded Thunder 56-46 (15-10 offensive).
People are starting to turn on Westbrook and I love it. You're going to shut Rubio's s*** off next game? I guess you didnt realize he was killing you this game? This one wasnt important enough? Maybe you were so caught up in getting the triple double that you didnt realize what was actually happening. The who thing reminds me of "there wont be no layups when I'm around next game."
