What is he gonna say we're ****ed? lol I think we win this series but we're clearly not contenders. I was hoping the rockets were just taking it easy and would turn it on in the playoffs but they haven't. they don't seem interested in turning it on, lol.

Did people think the 08 Celtics and 2014 Spurs were clearly not contenders when they were struggling against the 8th seed in the 1st round? The Spurs lost game 2 on their home floor and actually went down 2-1 in that series.

I also don’t know how many times it has to be said that the Wolves are a 51 win team and clear 3rd seed in the West if not for Butler’s injury. I picked Rockets in 5, and that can still happen. The Rockets can play MUCH better than they have been.

Where are all the “I don’t want Lebron because we’re going to win the championship” and “GS doesn’t scare me” people at now? 3 playoff games in and y’all are already shook...

Minnesota played their perfect game, and the rockets played like trash... and yet, they still had a chance. I'm thinking the g-sweep is still a thing. The rockets need to play better, but I think they still have it under control. Call me when they lose in Houston.

Of course Mike aint worried... he racked up the reg season stats to keep him employed for a couple more years... and..
Rockets' Mike D'Antoni says season can be cherished even without a championship
    ....so there's that... lol

I just don't understand why we play like **** in the playoffs.
    Happens way to often.
I can't argue with anyone who feels we aren't real contenders because we have not looked like that 65 win juggernaut so far in these playoffs.

    Spurs had/have pedigree.

Celtics didn't have history of subpar'ing in the postseason.

They didn't have to face GSW, its all about context.

the 08 Celtics were a dominant regular season team that headed into the postseason with stars and a head coach that had won nothing, and they were struggling against a 37 win Hawks team in the 1st round

the Rockets still have the opportunity to beat what would’ve been the 3rd best team in the West in 5 games, and they’re not even playing well at all

Everyone needs to step the fock off the ledge and get a grip. This was exactly what the team needed, a swift kick in the ass. I'm eager to see how they respond.

Clutchfans GARM is mostly a mixture of complete p*****s (some of which you can see in this thread), head in the sand ostriches who think everything is always fine, and absolute dumbasses like @FTW Rockets FTW.

    No reasonable takes anywhere.

Strategy has a lot to do with it. Rockets offense while effective is more gimmicky than most offenses. I am beginning to think that it's easy to shut down.

To answer your first question... Yes, people were doubting the Celts and Spurs.

We already know the final outcome, and time will tell with the Rockets.

However, there's no doubt the Rockets have began this story before. Can they still right the ship? Yes

I was hoping the acquisition of CP3 would make our offense less gimmicky with his mid range game but nevermind. I'm really trying to be more real than negative just because we lost but in all honesty CP3 looks like he's lost a step or 2. He'll have a good game from time to time but nothing like the killer who used to be on a nightly basis.

all these years we never had a legit 2nd superstar playmaker.. that's why lebron at a minimum needs 2 other superstars and KD 3 other superstars..

we now have 2 legit superstar playmakers.. just played their 3rd PO game together.. lets wait and see the adjustments they make in game 4

I’m probably in the minority here but I never saw the Wolves as a team that could challenge let alone get a game off the Rockets. As “good” as some think the Wolves are when healthy, they are just outclassed by the Rockets.....or at least I thought they were.

The Rockets with their big 3 have no business losing to this Wolves team in my opinion regardless of circumstance.

Rockets blew game 3......we will see if they go on to take the next 2 games or struggle like massive pretenders into a lingering first round series.
