He was doing what everyone was telling him it’s best to do. Don’t dominate the ball and let Paul George run most of the offense. He did that the past two games and they both ended in losses.
Yep. At one point they took Russ off Rick and put him on Joe Ingles. Russ left Joe Ingles, Jazz best shooter, open multiple times.
All Jazz haterade aside, this Mitchell kid is special. He's a bonafide superstar in the making. Has all the tools to become an elite player in this guard dominant era.
I didn't think an OKC L could lift my spirits after a disappointing Rockets loss. I was wrong. Playoff OKC L's are stronger than I realized.
Anyone else notice WB's sole focus during his final minutes on the floor was getting assists? He ended up with 9. Oh so close to what matters most: A precious triple double.
I had to mute it after halftime. Between the rockets shooting like crap, the crowd and then Burke...unbearable.
I'm glad we did this. The Schadenfreude was therapeutic tonight. Besides, Dame and CJ got swept after talking smack all season. That alone was the feel good story so far in the playoffs. Overall, a decent night in the Association.
Westbrook, NBA MVP and the RUBIO STOPPER Westbrook on Ricky Rubio getting hot from midrange: "He made shots. [He got] too comfortable. But I'm gonna shut that s--- off next game though. Guarantee that."
Please let this be the next "No more layups". Not that I want Russ to make good on his guarantee, but there are few things better in basketball than a player who talks sh-t and backs it up. The only thing better is when the sh-t talking goes wrong and that player falls flat on their face and subject to merciless ridicule. Now that the gauntlet has been set by Russ, I can't wait to see this next game. You know I'll be rooting for that fresh OKC L.
Actually, it is about coaching. Brad Stevens is really good. Just think where the Rockets be without their 2 best players.
