ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 4/21/2018 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 3)

The Timberwolves hitting 56% from the 3 point line was unexpected, but their energy was the real key.The Rockets did not respond. They will have to on Monday. I want to see the team that was dominating for most of the season show up for a full game.

 

The teams play has been concerning for a while now. This has been going on since before the post season so the warning signs were there. It's time to pick up the pace and get easy buckets in these games. We play too slow and you know D'Antoni is not a fan. I still think we win this series no problem but we got to play smarter and role players got to make these guys pay.

 

Seriously. Blazers and the Heat lost and showed more heart. Rockets looked so clinically bad out there...I didn't see any emotion..not even them getting angry at losing.

 

A Team excited about their first home game in 14 years
They had the energy tonite
They had the REFS tonite

I don't like this loss but I am not going to be suicidal about it.

It is so funny to me. . .that people in this thread will talk about FAIR WEATHER Home crowds
but
It is quite obvious the home crowds are no different than the people here
because people here turn on the Rockets at the drop of a dime. . . . Period

Meh. The only thing this game tells me is that this series will end in 5 games instead of 4.

 

Where was the team that was hungry the wolves are terrible, but they have wanted it more, Pathetic Better wake up next game because the playoffs for the rockets is starting to become a pattern of doing **** all.Played terrible all series smfh.The Wolves fans were chanting wolves in six against the number one seed, and best in the league wake up because even when we win this won't be good for the next round.

 

i can think of at least 2 teague 3's that were off the dribble. rose's one 3 had someone running at him. butler has had a guy in front of him on at least 2 of them. and those are just ones that i can remember. and statistically, the majority of 3's by any team are open because teams don't tend to take many non-open 3's. the wolves have made 9 straight. it's one of those nights.

That damn ref Marc Davis had his marching orders from the tipoff. Minny wins at all cost.

 

Maybe the loss will be good for them. Keep them humble and not take another game for granted.

How is being critical "fair whether"?

We've played like **** the whole series. We do not look like a team that would beat the Warriors in a 7 game series.

 

Disappointing game. The way we have been playing since we clinched 1st seed is concerning like clutch twitted. It just feels like they don’t care enough out there. No sense of urgency. We need to regroup seriously.

If you think they are going to pull disappearing acts then fine, whatever, you may as well not watch the rest of the series then.

 

Eric Gordon’s been playing like hot garbage so far. He is rushing his shots trying to do too much. While he needs to be aggressive shooting we don’t need him to be Harden or CP3. H

 

Worrying about that in the first round when your goal is beating the "best team ever assembled" is a troublesome notion.

 

Felt like we had zero momentum the entire game
