Oh, man. You know that social media manager was DREADING having to make that post. They likely had no choice since it was part of the promotion money they took, but wow... can't imagine telling fans that the benefit to getting your ass whooped in the first 3 games is FREE MCGRIDDLES.

I had to look up what a McGriddle was...81% of your daily cholesterol, 35% of saturated fat, 46% of your sodium...but only 448 calories!

I also learned that in Philly you can get them with scrapple. What is scrapple, you ask?

Scrapple is typically made of hog offal, such as the head, heart, liver, and other trimmings, which are boiled with any bones attached (often the entire head), to make a broth. Once cooked, bones and fat are removed, the meat is reserved, and (dry) cornmeal is boiled in the broth to make a mush. The meat, finely minced, is returned to the pot and seasonings, typically sage, thyme, savory, black pepper, and others are added. The mush is formed into loaves and allowed to cool thoroughly until set.

Growing up, I ate scrapple with either syrup or ketchup. Nowadays, the rare times that I get it when back in the midwest, butter is good enough.

It's very good with eggs. The only thing I've ever eaten it with.

I was wondering what to have for breakfast tomorrow. Gonna make me some French toast, inspired by this thread.

McGriddles have maple flavored pancakes for buns. I did not know this either.

Certainly not their proudest moment, but good lord McGriddles are delicious.

Mixed in a menu consisting of otherwise lousy food, the McGriddle is a beacon that shines bright.

Blazers twitter even trolls their own fan base. They’re on another level.
