i really doubt anything at all happens before the draft. it's too close to draft day for teams to split their attention and worry about meetings/negotiations/medicals. all the speculation at this point really feels to me like media noise, trying to drive clicks or viewers. every time a new team enters the discussion, media get another little bump from a new market.
Honeybadger was on NFL Live yesterday and stated something that he had talked to Dez the night before and that Dez is very intersting in joining the Texans. I doubt the front office doesn't pursue this, if thats true.
I think Dez is doing all of these things to try and drum up some interest in him around the league, but I'm not sure it's working. I'd bet right now the asking price is too high for most teams given that at this point in his career he's a #3 WR.
I really dont understand him wanting to play with the giants (Just to get back at the cowboys) shouldn't he be looking at places that give him a chance to win a SB) - i get that your bad at your old team, but really the giants (Eli has been terrible)
It doesn't seem like there is much interest in Dez at all around the league, and it doesn't look like he's been able to drum any up with his antics. I'd bet he's going to have to drop his asking price.
I think you're right. Teams will see what happens in the draft and then assess remaining FAs for what they need. Dez may just have to wait a bit.
He can be that Passing WR/TE we needed like Gronk Type... just let him run the inside routes against lb's
Texans are probably not interested - as usual... The patriots will swoop in before the draft and sign him.
It's posts like this that make me roll my eyes at football "experts". The Texans ran 11-personnel on 65% of their pass plays? So the other 35% had something less than 11 guys on the field? The crap they make up to sound technical is ridiculous at times. Rant over.
