[Tracy McGrady] I wish in my day I could've had a terrible game like Harden and still win by 20

    For those missing the reference:

"It's my fault," McGrady said. "It's my fault we missed free throws. It's my fault we lost both games. Blame me. It's my fault we fouled to tie the game up. That's my fault. It's my fault they get easy layups. It's my fault we're not executing well on the offensive end. It's my fault a couple people in the stands ordered Heinekens and they got Budweiser. It's my fault. I'm sorry."

Yeah, we never saw or heard this from Yao. Never. Yao had his fair share of disappointments but he never b****ed or whined, never threw his teammates under the bus. Reason is because he was a winner at heart, just couldn't stay healthy on the court.

McGrady was and will always be a loser.

Broke back McGrady... always finding something to complain about - rather than accepting that it was on him...

    Agreed

Harden is the mvp on a historic team.

Only Steph and KD have the luxury of playing on a team like ours were they don’t have to be great to win.

We’re very fortunate to have Harden because he’s one of 5 guys who can win by himself but he’s lucky to have a team with legit 4-5 other players that can get 20 on any given night.

If I recall correctly, he came in out of shape, didn't play in preseason, then requested two weeks off in January 'to work on his conditioning,' came back and then shut himself down to have micro fracture surgery. Meanwhile, the remaining team of

    Yao/Deke
    Scola/Landry/Chuckwagon
    Battier
    Artest
    AB/Lowry

played their guts out and would have won the title if not for Deke and then Yao going down to injuries in the playoffs

I love the fact that McGrady will never ever have his jersey retired.

    So salty. :D

I don't think he's salty. He has a point. Every team he was on he had to carry the team on his shoulders. He's simply giving props to the fact that the rox have a great team and its all not on Harden every night.

We did win by 20 with Yao, Artest, Brooks, Scolandry, Lowry against the eventual champion LA Lakers.

Of course they would have. We got a bunch of defensive players aka 3 and d players around him because the man had no idea what to do if the ball was not in his hands 99%of the time. He said it himself he couldn't get into his flow in Rick Adleman's offence. If we replace Harden with Tmac we still do not make it past the first round and forget 65 win season...

Tmac already has his jersey retired in China.

It's kind of shocking to me how much hate Tmac gets here and how much love he gets from Chinese fans.

This. I get that he didn't always have the heart, but a lot of you guys are being too rough on T-Mac.

I don't get the "if player X had player Y's team" argument. Harden has the team he has because of Harden. Superstar players weren't exactly lining up to play for T-Mac like they are for Harden.

What’s he talking about? He did already. When Yao and Artest dragged his bum ass on the bench to the 2nd round.

Houston Rockets fans want success for the team.

Chinese fans love all nba players

He also failed to win in China

He has no leadership ability in any league in any country

He left the Rockets than jumped from team to team
You recall he thought he deserved more of playing time after the surgery he failed to tell the team he was getting
Then there was a lot of more failures
With New York. Detroit and Atlanta

Already know TMAC about to be court side during the finals acting like he’s coaching Harden. Might even end up on the podium.

TMac forgot to add "I wish in my day when I joined the Spurs (w/ Kawhi, Duncan, Parker) that I could win a ring."

He didn’t play in the first roubd vs the Blazers and we destroyed them. He didn’t also play the next round and we took the eventual champs to game 7.
