For the sake of our sanity, this game needs to be a more convincing win. If we're struggling to beat the Wolves at home and Harden needs to continue being HARGOD all game, we're in trouble in the 2nd round. Hell forget the 2nd round, logic tells us struggling to win at home means we probably lose the road games. I would hate to think this is a 7-game series, and anything can happen in Game 7.

Is that a requirement? I didn't say it was. It's a recent image from the Chronicle. Go to their Rockets section online and it'll be easy to find. If you like, you can follow the instructons in my signature, instead. Any appreciation on your part should go to the late Herman Wouk. The guy's still around at age 102. He won a Pulitzer Prize for his 1951 novel, The Caine Mutiny. It's a good read. No Rockets involved, however. Just explosive situations, leading to a trial. The kind in a courtroom, not the kind on the court. The T-Puppies provided that in game one.

I guess you’re choosing to ignore the 3 point percentages of both teams in game 1? Unlikely to play out like that, yet we still won.

The game was certainly not the dominant convincing kind of whooping GS laid on SA. The Rockets as a team haven't looked great for almost a month.

We shoot the most 3s, but our % is middle of the road. Will not work against golden state. Hopefully rockets practiced just 3s for the last few days!

no it doesnt. it doesnt matter if you win by 1 or 20. it still ends up in a w. this is what i was referring to in previous posts when people think its going to be easy. No it isn't. its the playoffs. youre going to have to find different ways to win. if you expect convincing wins every game, the playoffs are going to be a nightmare for you. the rollercoaster ride of the playoffs

this. sixers blew out miami in their 1st game then what happened.. now miami has stole one in philly

at the end of the day if we win 2 games with our guy's shooting<30% 3fg then we should be feeling good not bad

besides we're up against not really an 8th seeded team but a 3rd seed team

we will be judged on how far we get to in the POs not have big the differential is

LOL you don't think the team that shot the most 3pters in the season don't practice enough?

GSW is the worst defensive rebounding team in the west by far, simply be within 4% TS% and outrebound them and you will win, thats what we did when we beat them.

It's also why OKC beat them convincingly early in the season, their offense is pathetically inefficient, but they get so many extra possessions from offensive rebounds (#1 OFF REB team vs #30 DEF REB team) that it doesn't matter.

D'Antoni specifically said he was playing the starters throughout that month to keep them sharp and in rhythm, and the rhythm and sharpness seemed to deteriorate regardless.

But he still gave guys a lot of time off. Harden missed a couple games. So did Capela. So did Ariza. CP3 missed 6 of the final 11 games. Luc missed several games to rest the tendinitis in his knee. EG missed 4 of the final 5 games to rest his ankle. Nene barely the played the final month of the season.

It's hard to have any sort of rhythm when rotation players are missing games and guys are constantly in and out of the lineup. Especially when all of those games are meaningless because home court was clinched so early.

My face whenever people think the Rockets will shoot this poorly in a 2nd straight game...

D'Antoni didn't close the door on it but he didn't sound optimistic about Ryan Anderson playing for Game 2.

We can handle these guys without him tonight. Let him get fully healthy.

The Wolves were 37 and 22 with Jimmy Butler in the lineup, that’s a 51 win pace

y’all keep looking at them as some weak little 8th seed when that is not the case...if Butler didn’t get injured and miss so much time, they would’ve been the 3rd seed in the West quite easily

Point is they need to shoot a better percentage!
