I guess it doesnt help that GSW is very familiar with kawhi-less SPURS since they already faced them in last years WCF and swept them. No element of surprise there.
I'd get rid of them too. Completely rebuild. If Kawhi hadn't quit on them, then they could try the old "rebuild while still contending" routine that's worked for them the last 15 years. But that was a much easier process when they had the core of Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili all in their primes. I wonder what LaMarcus is thinking right about now. He left Portland to go to San Antonio. The Blazers are now the 3rd seed while the Spurs are 7th. And he even turned down a chance to get out of there last summer and reupped with them.

Forget about Durant and Curry. They seldom get cold simultaneously. Klay is their x-factor. When he shoots well, they are almost impossible to beat. It's like when Gordon plays well, we are extremely hard to beat because Harden and CP seldom play bad at the same time.
