Tbh I think the spurs played relatively ok all game. I think it’s much closer of a game than the score says. It just seemed like the ball bounced gsw way a lot and spurs had tough breaks a lot. Just random things. Like Durant making greatly defended shots. LaMarcus missing his greatly defended shots. Manu missing layups, JaVale making a basket off a loose ball rebound tip. Scrambling for the ball spurs get the ball but just miss the shot or blow the opportunity. It’s game 1. Gsw came out at home proving a point. They are great and will win this series. But to think it’s gonna be an easy blowout I still just don’t see it.
Seriously, is Pops overrated or this roster just too much filled w old farts and young bucks? Kahwi not being there to support his team is really weird. Anyone still thinking he’s coming back and nothing is going on behind the scenes is delusional!
Kawhi is a ****ing cancer if I've seen one. its bad enough you can't play...but not even cheering your team on? A ****ing 40 yr old is out there its a damn disgrace. Hopefully the new contract he gets from a team will reflect that knowing his antics.
don't know how you can call a coach losing to the warriors without his best player overrated. take any team's best player off the team and have them play the warriors in the playoffs and they would get that work the same. if anything its amazing he was able to coach these average ass players to the playoffs in the tough western conference.
Warriors dominated a good rebounding team in the spurs on the boards. They just came out with so much more energy. Usually a high turnover team, they kept them down against a good defensive team. They shot at a high percentage and often times against good defense made tough shots. All props due. San Antonio turned it over and got murdered on the glass. They shot poorly. And the ball never seemed to bounce their way.
You're in the Warriors thread, where they clearly drew the worst team in the WC playoffs. Any other seeded team would have given a more competitive game 1. Even Denver, who didn't make it. Not sure why you're getting worked up when people are talking about the Warriors in a Warriors thread.
Rockets blew out the Spurs the first game too before it went so very wrong. If isn't working, Pop will just move on to the next game. The series looks over, but Warriors still need 3 more wins.
I think he's gone too. As for Pop well, he might be a bit overrated, personally i don't think he is, but with that said, just look at their current starting five: Gasol Aldridge Anderson Green Mills ..i mean, they're old and there's just not enough talent without Kawhi, LMA played very well this season but he has never been a franchise player, he can't lead a team, for me, the fact that they're in the playoffs is already a decent result all things considered. I still expect them to win a couple of games against the Warriors but yeah, that's it, without Kawhi they're just too limited.
