what, how was it a myth at all. in my opinion Harden was more athletic back then and could get to the rim easier. He was definitely more clutch in 2015 as well. Harden this year developed a step back three. But in 2015 he had a step back mid range jumper which was a bit more reliable. I don't see anything else Harden doing better this year than 2015. The reason his assists took a huge bump last year was because he got to play a different role, it's not like his court vision suddenly improved in 2017.
Kawhi comes running out of the locker room limping like shades of Willis Reed (playoffs). Made for TV drama. I like it for the first round upset of a top ranked team over the last 3 years. Can’t wait for the movie.
Well that’s your opinion and I respect that, but it’s obvious to most he’s the best player he ever has been the last two years. He’s grown as a leader, more reliable, has adjusted to the way the game is called, he’s more efficient from three, he plays better defense and probably more. Him “losing” some athletic abilities I do not agree with, just think Harden is smarter about his body. I think that you take the highlights and eye test a bit too seriously. Harden last year had the type of a season only a few individuals managed to achieve. Make no mistake, he was amazing last year regardless of the assist numbers. It’s definitely a myth on this board in my opinion that 2015 Harden was on another level, at his best and should’ve won MVP. If it wasn’t for his teammates, Harden would’ve been known for choking in game 6 of the semis @LAC in 2015, which he did. Just like game 6 of the semis in 2017, though that was worse. This year it has all come together and he’s more clutch than ever. I’m not as worried about him choking under pressure. Last year and 2016 he was awful in the clutch, so everything has gone right for Harden. He’s at the top, which is why even the obvious haters cannot deny his genius season and acknowledge he’s the MVP and took his play last year to even greater heights.
I'm taking this as a sign of disrespect. I'm disappointed in your gif placement, @Rocket River. unlike.
D-Mo is the super star of all super stars. If only he had played in the 2015 playoffs. D-Mo would have shown Harden heart. Just like D-Mo does every year.. Too bad the NBA players don’t play as bad a defense as they do abroad.
Win 4-1 in the first round? I'll take it. Come back from down 3-1 in the second? YES Get humiliated by the Warriors in the WCF after damn near stealing both games in Oakland? I'd rather not repeat that experience.
