I’m fully expecting he Rox will do better than the Astros did against MN. At least they won’t have to play in 30 degree weather

I suspect Harden to be going off in the first game, and Minny will def try to trap/double Harden.

I hope everyone is on their game, we can't have Nene bouncing a dunk off the rim or any BS like that.

When is the last time that our first playoff game wasn't the very last game on Sunday? Why me we always wait the longest? #mediaconspiracy

Don't sleep on Minny--Towns, Butler, Wiggins is not a bad "big three". They are going to put up a fight. The 3-8 seeds this year are all very close in talent level, so it's not like we're catching any kind of break by being the 1 seed.

I believe we can beat anybody, but I hope the team is ready to take this serious from minute 1.

    Game 1 - Blowout win
Game 2 - Tough, close win
Game 3 - Tough, close loss
Game 4 - Tough, close win
Game 5 - Not a blowout, but comfortable win

    Rockets in 5

I can see the wolves running that stubborn zone and under the pick defense and losing.

Even though Minnesota have not been a good defensive team, I am intrigued to see what a defensive minded Tom Thibs comes up with to stop Harden and one of the best offenses in the NBA, albeit a simple offense, and the adjustments that we make that will help in later playoff series. I rather see everything early with weaker teams than against stronger teams in WCF and Finals. It’s one reason that I preferred to have Spurs and Pops in the first round.

anyone else watch the last game Denver vs Minny?

one of the only reasons they pulled the win out late was Taj Gibson who shut down Jokic. what a waste of possessions to give Jokic the ball in isolation. they never tried to run a pick to force a switch, it was as strange as it can get.

denver doesn't have the personnel for that as far as getting an iso. murray is probably the best option in that regard and even then hes a work in progress

yeah, i agree. the coach still ran an iso for Jokic in the post. one of the strangest things i've seen. maybe the coach didn't want to lose his job?

if i was the GM watching those plays, it wouldn't bode well for the coach.

    Everyone complaining about late starts.

    They start it at 7

Butler and Towns is a worrisome duo, no doubt.

Wiggins, though? I hope he takes 30 shots a game

It's not bad but it's not great, either. I'd be pretty surprised if this wasn't a sweep.

Also, Sunday Night Football is considered a premium game and usually the most watched. I don't think it's a bad draw and if it is, it's because our games aren't expected to be competitive.

Generally I'd agree, but he has the raw talent and occasionally he has a great game. He was a lot better last season. He has the potential to surprise us. If the Rockets don't want that to happen, they'd better take it seriously and bring their A game.
