Woj just posted on Twitter than it's going to be a missed first round, so far. No time table on exact date of return. Not too bad I guess.
It's possible and I hope so, but realistically Moute's first 3-4 games back after a dislocated shoulder is unlikely to meet the standards of a role player facing the GSW. That's what I mean when I say he is done. If I had to guess, I'd say they will play him in the WCF, but it will be Moute's desperation more than anything. IMO he will only be impactful if he plays through the Warriors series, and comes into form for the our NBA Finals win.
Crap. Even if he comes back by second round, he won't be in game shape and in good form until round 3. That is IF he comes back in round 2. Big loss. Sucks. He changes the way we look on defense.
I see your point, but I also think that there is a reasonable chance that he can be effective versus the Warriors. Let’s see - LMAM is key to our switch-happy defense, but we still have Paul and Harden.
I was fixing to post about Carl. Herrera was a terrific talent for the Rockets, a key member of the rotation, and then he dislocated his shoulder. It turned out to be a recurring problem, to the point that you just couldn't depend on him staying healthy. That's what I remember, anyway. So I'm worried about Luc. That was a routine play. I hope he's able to return at some point during the playoffs, but I'm not going to assume that. Bad juju.
No, they are not saying it's "not too bad". They aren't saying anything about the severity of the injury, and they aren't saying if he will return for the playoffs or not. They really aren't saying much of anything except that he will not play the first round. Which, we pretty much had already assumed.
It's been half a day since he injured his shoulder. It should be vague. Based on what Woj is saying, Luc will be out 2-4 weeks. Pretty much what a lot of us figured. He's out for the first round, may be available in the second round(at least part of it anyway), and should be back by the WCF.
i think we can survive through the 1st round without him... he will be needed most in the conference finals and he should be back by then
I had a good friend who constantly popped his out and we had to work it back in.....so much so that he eventually had to have surgery to stop it, as it tightened up the tendon which was stretched allowing it to continually pop out. My un-medical guess is he will need that surgery to stop this from happening....the sooner the better.....play in the playoffs.....or if it happens again...then this summer fix it permanently. DD
