Nah, he's the Lakers savior. Dude is averaging 19 PPG for the entire NBA season - one less than Donovan Mitchell. The RotY race just became super competitive!
He's done. Luc works in our system when he is not a liability from the 3pt line. He's not a good enough shooter to come back after a dislocated shoulder and just maintain that career-best performance from 3pt line. It's fine. People overreacting. I've been whining for them to get rest, but now it's different. As we get closer to the playoffs we need to make sure the game fitness is there for 36+ high endurance minutes. 36 minutes in the playoffs is NOT like 36 minutes in the regular season. Imagine how much more effort, preparation and concentration is going into stopping you. Players foul more, play tougher. This injury is not on management, it's just the most likely thing that would happen. Let's be happy it's our 8th man and we are deep as f***. And this is exactly why management went so deep. Joe Johnson is the worst wing we'll put on the floor. That's not bad at all lol. F****** amazing actually that we can just trot out Gerald Green and Joe Johnson AND more PJ Tucker as Ariza's backups. Moute might come in handy when we play the Warriors. People are going to be shocked how small we go. Tucker will be a C by game 4 of the Warriors series.
Now you understand the genius of D'Antoni's system. Take a bunch of guys who would injure themselves anywhere else, and set them up with a 3-shooting lifestyle that keeps them healthy and productive.
ESPN saying "sources" inside Rockets say it's not as bad as last time. Fingers crossed he's out for two series only. We should be able to get past SAS/NOP/MIN and POR/UTA without him.
I'm confident he will be able to play in the WCF. That's the time to make risky moves... if he gets injured badly, get him surgery in the offseason.
Obviously this is a terrible blow - but Curry is out for the Warriors. Kawhi has been out all season for the Spurs. Kyrie AND Hayward are out for the Celtics. Embiid is out for the Sixers. Is Love back for the Cavs yet? Luc has been incredible for us, but a whole lot of teams have more important players out. I'm just grateful we have a healthy James Harden, Chris Paul and Clint Capela going into the Playoffs.
He's so important for our team defense. Every lineup he's in the defense clamps up, he's a good team defender. Ariza and Tucker gamble a lot and don't have the long arms and length Luc has. He's the only person on the team that can probably guard Durant. Tucker would foul out, Ariza gets killed by KD in the Post. Please come back Prince.
I think Ariza is all long extremities and length, just not as BBall intelligent as Luc. No offense to him.
I say the same thing about nene dunking. Whenever them three make a spectacular play, they have a propensity to hurt themselves as a result
This will probably mean more minutes for EG at the 3 with James and Chris. More minutes for GG obviously. Ryan Anderson or Joe Johnson, one of the two are gonna have to step the **** up.
I'm sure that's a really important thought to you, but Moute is still as relevant as a role player. Any team whose fate depends on Moute is not a championship team anyway, so no worries.
I guess he thinks of this as a good omen. The 1994 team was under new ownership, got off to a blazing hot start(22-1), set a franchise record for wins, lost a key reserve forward to a dislocated shoulder in the playoffs, had home court in every round, featured the league MVP, and won the title. The 2018 team is under new ownership, got off to a blazing hot start(25-4), set a franchise record for wins, lost a key reserve forward to a dislocated shoulder heading in the playoffs, has home court in every round, and features the probable league MVP.
