Feigen: The Only Options: Wolves, Pelicans, or Spurs

AD is the best player we would play of all the matchups but would be favorable because

1) he hasn’t shown the ability to dominate singlehandedly translating to wins (see their hohum record over past few years)

2) he is injury prone

3) pelicans dont have much playoff experience

4) pelicans don’t play a punishing style and are not one of those teams that want to grind it out

5) minimum travel fatigue

 

Utah will win won of those at least. They have been on a crazy role lately and GS has no reason to go all out for their last game. I'll have to say though I wouldn't mind OKC in the 2nd round. Although I feel we could beat Utah as well, they have matchup problems that may make it a longer series.

 

Spurs shouldn't even be a problem. BUT we all know Harden becomes very suspect playing against Pop. All of sudden he starts throwing the ball away, missing open layups & passing up 3's

 

LOL all these posters afraid of the Spurs. If you can't beat a well coached team with lesser talent that you and you owe some payback on then you don't deserve a championship.

Give me Spurs in round 1 and mop the floor with them.

Nope. If they win they are tied with the pelicans and or spurs and own the tie breaker over both so would get the 7th. Additionally if okc loses I believe they own the tiebreaker over them so would get the 7th while okc gets 8. So for DENVER it is either 7th (and maybe 5th or 6th) or out. Mathematically the 8th seed is not possible for them. Spurs, OkC, wolves and pelicans are in play.

 

Oddly enough. OKC can’t play Golden State in round 1. They can get 4th 5th 6th or 8th. Not 7th. (Higher seeds I mentioned do not include tonight’s results). Although sitting in 7th they can’t end 7th.

 

Don’t know if it is true. But one article I read stated that if the jazz beat the warriors or Portland (or won both) that it would become mathematically impossible for the Spurs to land in the 8th seed.

 

I believe they can finish 7th, but only if they lose to Memphis. You know something fishy if that happens.
