True. But I think most expect more from Springer than those other guys, WS MVP and all that.

OK I got my answer just one comment up. Padres don't necessarily have great pitching. got it.

 

Stros cant seem to hit anyone on their trash team, starters too.

Just a super cold funk that has taken over the team. Only fix is Yuli and a roadtrip

 

Astros hitters are just in a funk right now. They usually bust out and go on a two week rampage after they struggle like this.

 

Oh, there are several other options too: Marwin sacrifices a live chicken on the plane, Bregman finds a slumpbuster in the hotel bar tonight....

 

Or the obvious fix, a surprise guest appearance in the booth by the Ash.

 

Intriguing.

Absent that, there's no ****ing way the middle of the order does damage to Ross this inning.

ETA, I put the Rangers/Jays game on the other screen, just so I could maybe see what it's like when a team hits the ball and scores, and Hamels promptly gives up a bomb on his 1st pitch

ETA2: and on his 12th pitch of the 1st inning Kendrys hits a 3-run shibby. So this is what offense looks like?

 

It's been a while since the team has looked this pitiful at the plate

 

I doubt we hit a ball hard out of the infield off of this guy. Haven't done it yet.
