Why did we only take 37 3's? We need to get back to shooting 45 or more more a game. This is supposed to be time to build on what we do best, not do something different. Our game is from behind the arc. Let's do this.

Blazers should not have let CJ to end the fun run for the team. Next time, those fun runners will not try hard because they'll just have to watch the CJ and Damian show.

I didn't say we choked away a game that we actually won (although since they tied it, we arguably choked the lead). This is where your disconnect is.

The POINT of the original post I made was that "had we lost" then it would be considered a choke no matter if they were playing a #3 seed or a 10 seed (just an example). No matter the opponent, losing a game where you had a 24pt lead would be choking.

Did they choke away the game? No, but that's not the argument. A nonsense seeding argument was made, I disagreed with that as choking doesn't have to do with quality of opponent, then you defended it to death. So tell me, if a 4th seed beat us in this situation you would say it was NOT a choke, however if that 4th seed lost a couple of games and were then seeded 9th (crazy current conference situation) would it THEN be a choke because they are so far down in the standings and shouldn't have been expected to beat us?

No, because that logic doesn't make sense. Well, you think choking has to do with where the other team falls within their seeding and expectation to win.

"In sports, choking under pressure is a negative athletic experience that may have psychologically damaging effects. The media recognizes that choking is a dramatic drop in performance, whereas researchers have labeled choking as any decrease in performance under pressure."

You mean like (actually) losing a game where you had a huge lead? Sure sounds like a dramatic drop in performance under the pressure of the other team raising their level of play. That's what almost happened in this game (whether the game mattered is not relevant to the conversation), and nothing in 'choking' mentions the quality of the opposing team.

To be honest, Blazers and Spurs play the Rockets the same. Stay on the three point line and crowd the paint when we drive the lane.

So did the Rockets apparently. Oh well. Late game collapse notwithstanding, they are now 41-2 with CP3, Harden, and Capela in the lineup. I still can't believe I'm typing that.

Right??? incredible!!!!!! Go Rockets, holy crap. The lead loss was ridiculous, but in a pretty meaningless game while missing Anderson/Gordon (and Blazers w/o Lillard), I'll definitely take it.

A win is a win. But Harden has been very sloppy the last few games or so. I hope this isn't a precursor into whats gonna happen in the postseason

You can look at the bright side in that when the team is focused, they basically destroy the competition. The Wizards game and the first 3 quarters of the Blazers game are proof of this. The downside is that when they get lackadaisical, they can lose to anyone as they nearly did to the last place Suns before Green saved them with his buzzer beater.

What a terrible collapse smh, CP3 saved our asses big time. Harden choking at the line in two meaningless games now is concerning but hopefully it's just a focus issue and will be rectified in the playoffs.

Not encouraging to see us react so poorly to different defensive schemes being thrown at us, we will definitely see a bunch of stuff in the playoffs. Just gotta get better.

ROX just going through the motions to get to the end of the season.
Blazers scrubs playing like it was a game 7. Result = Rockets win

I think it sends more of a message that the Rockets have already
locked up home court advantage and THEY haven't.
People seem to be panicking over this game. If this were a REAL
playoff game we may have won by 40. We took the foot off the gas in the 2nd half.
Pretty obvious. We could have obliterated these guys.
Are we supposed to risk injury in a meaningless game when we are playing for nothing?
