Rockets again won't have classic jersey (fifth option) in 18-19

Those Miami "vice" jerseys look good

 

I really am not a fan of the jersey procedures this season. Home team should always wear white or whatever lighter colored jersey they have. The home court already has the team colors plastered all over it, I don't need to see the jerseys with it too. Road teams wearing white jerseys just look off to me. The white jerseys were designed to complement the home floor. If the home team doesn't wear the white jersey anymore, then might as well do away with the white jersey entirely. I miss the consistency.

 

We have the worst jerseys in the league.

 

Even though Magic and Hornets have not been around before the early 80's both those classic jerseys were big sellers, especially that Shaq/Penny jersey.

I don't see why they chose the Wolves, also the Jazz's current jersey is very similar to the classic anyway, just change green for Purple. So I don't see the point.

The Hawks current jerseys are so ugly, I see why Nike did a Hawks classic to make up for probable loss of sales.

GSW? Well we've seen this classics a thousand times now, but that team is a cash cow, so makes sense to go with them.

Honestly, the best classic jerseys to use would be Magic, Hornets (tick tick).. Rockets since the current unis still suck. Hawks (same as the rockets). Thunder (do a Sonics jersey, if OKC fans can accept), Pacers

Truly unforgivable. To this day I think we would've beat the Jazz in 97 if we were wearing the red and yellow.

 

Kelvin Cato is offended, Can you design a Harden 93-94 jersey? Front and Back.

 

One big thing I took away from @The Cat's Locked On Rockets podcast with Tad Brown.....he was pretty clear that the "R" logo is iconic for them. He insinuated that other marketing elements like jerseys and such could always be refined or adjusted.

So, down the road with Fertitta's Rockets there could be a chance for jersey changes, but if you want to banish the "R", don't hold your breath.

I am on record as liking the "R" with it's simplicity.

It's okay, once we win the championship again... we'll change jerseys again!

 

I don't, and I suspect many others don't, have a problem with it in concept.

But the execution of it is horrendous. Why is it dripping blood? Why did they choose a font style that was out of date a week after they introduced it? Why does it look like something I'd design in MS Paint?

 

The T Wolves and Magic have more history than us?
