next year with a healthy Hayward and healthy Kyrie, along with a more experienced Jaylen, Boston will be scary

Raptors have it so freaking easy. I know Lebron is still out there but come on his team stinks. They are what their record says they are.

his team stinks yet raptors have yet to show they can beat him. not sure what that says about toronto. they're a 50 win team and with all the drama theyve had this year, they're still the team to beat over there

Didn't he threaten to do this with the Cavs. I guess maybe he should have done it at the start of the season. He would have been ready for the playoffs.

So as far as this year's playoff go, both of those teams in the trade lost big time. Kyrie was big for Cleveland last year and Thomas was huge for Boston.

Going to be interesting to see if that Brooklyn pick ends up in the top 3.

Not surprised at all, I figured he wasn’t coming back.

I’m not so sure. The Celtics are kind of like the Spurs: a tough out no matter who they suit up.

Is this a little bit of karma for the threat he proposed to Cleveland?

I'm not confident Kyrie will ever be healthy, especially if carrying the load of a primary option.

So are they going to replace the screws with new ones when the old ones are removed? Or were the screws not really necessary? If they weren’t necessary why didn’t they remove them when he had his most recent (the one that was supposed to be non invasive) surgery? Or does having screws removed escalate an operation to be classified as invasive? They say full recovery after 4-5 months but I have a feeling his left knee is ****ed long term and this won’t be the end of his issues.

Even aside from his knee issues he’s very injury prone. Below is a link to his injury history which doesn’t include his rookie year and 2nd year where he missed like over 20 games each and I remember he also had a foot or toe issue that cut his season short at Duke as well.

Out of 574 possible regular season games he’s played in 441. That’s a lot of games missed. Especially considering it’s not like Ben Simmons for example where he misses a whole season but comes back and stays healthy after “fully recovering”.

I don’t think the Celtics would’ve been in playoffs contention with no Gordon and Kyrie missing the first 4-5 months.

It's always bad when players have knee surgery c'mon bro.

I've never heard of an NBA player who gets knee surgery and becomes healthy afterwards, usually once they get knee surgery it is the start of their health deterioration.

Irving's bum knee officially makes Boston a loser in the Irving-Isiah trade. Boston lost a lotto pick for nothing (traded dude with bad hip, got karma and got a player with a bad knee) and Cavs saved themselves from paying Irving (who is not only injured but also has proven himself to be a 2nd tier star) the max. Lucky for the Celts though they have two franchise wings in Tatum and Brown.

He should still make the Finals in the East. It's Lebron theres no way he should be losing to East teams as long as he has Love.

How can screws cause an infection that can't be treated with meds?

Don't forget about healthy Kawhi either. Tatum also looks like he's well beyond his years, if he's not traded for a veteran star this off-season. I think Kyrie will be fine, he's come back from significant injuries in the past and has played at a high level each time. Westbrook had multiple knee surgeries at this point in his career as well and came back strong.

If I were the Celtics I would offer the spurs Kyrie and future 1st for Kawhi
    Horford Tatum Kawhi Hayward Rozier
Could run the east for years
