Ha. Seems like a "NEEDS" draft but what don't you like about it? Let's see your mock draft. ;) Who do you want/looking for?

Like Rick Smith, Gaine has said the draft is for best player available and free agency is for need. Obviously that isn't 100% true but for the most part it is.

ESPN’s Mike Sando recently interviewed dozens of executives, coaches, and insiders around the league to get their impressions of how free agency shook out for all 32 teams. While the Rams, Vikings, and Eagles each dominated the national news cycle with their ever-increasing arms race, the Texans quietly had a very good March with two key signings in the secondary - Aaron Colvin and Tyrann Mathieu. Here is what Sando and those executives had to say about Brian Gaine’s first signings in free agency.

I’ll try to stick to 3rd round or later prospects for you but I don’t like that draft bcuz on paper it just looks underwhelming. I’d like something like...in no particular order
    Blanding
    Schultz
    Chubb/Bo
    Hill
    Norton
    Thomas
    Quinn
    Berrios
    Wynn
    Miller

Are just a few players I’d like and have a eye on.

I wish we had done that signing, especially at that price.

    http://www.titansonline.com/news/ar...d-Helmet/b27238ae-519c-44b3-8bf7-917eb9290f55

The Titans unveiled three primary uniform color combinations that consist of: Navy blue jersey (home), White jersey (away), Titans blue jersey (light blue, Color Rush).

The helmet, formerly white with two navy blue stripes, is now the Titans’ primary navy blue with one two-toned silver stripe, which mimics the sword from the team’s logo. It includes a metallic silver face mask, and the logo decal now has a silver outline. The sword-inspired center stripe starts at the back of the helmet and comes to a point at the top front.

There’s a sword element on the pants and jerseys as well.

The shoulders of the jerseys feature the two-toned silver in the shape of a sword to mimic the sword from the team logo.

The color red accents the uniform, including the red stars on the inside back of the neckline -- inspired by the three stars from the Tennessee state flag. These also tie to the fireball logo.

The number fonts are dramatically different – the custom, angular number fonts were designed with Greek or Roman lettering in mind. Every number on each jersey is shaped in a way that exemplifies the Northeast corner of Tennessee as the state appears on a map, a subtle ode to fans in the state.

The contrast insert on the under-arm of the jersey is a new addition to the uniform, and the two-tone silver stripe on the uniform pant signifies the sword in the team logo. The sword-sheath inspired design on the stripe of the pants is angled much like a sheath would hang. There’s a fireball logo on the left and right hip.

The color palette navy, Titan blue, red, silver and white remains unchanged. A second silver/gray has been added to give dimension to the sword as a more prominent design element. The Nike swooshes add red into the overall design to make the color palette pop.

You have a franchise quarterback who missed most of his only season with a bad knee and has an injury history now on both knees. If he goes down again, you have Brandon Weeden. Brandon. Weeden.

You have one of the statistically worst offensive lines in history. Sure it will be better, but that doesn't make it good. It won't be good. It might be average, which would be a massive improvement.

You have no quality TE to speak of.

You lack depth at running back. The receivers should be pretty good as long as Watson stay healthy enough to throw to them.

All in all, the talent on the offensive side just isn't where it needs to be. It would be tough for this group to end up one of the best offenses in Texans history. I just don't see it. So many things would have to go exactly right, and somebody (maybe Foreman?) would have to kick it into a much higher gear. Plus O'Brien is changing the scheme. Who knows what that brings? Maybe it will mask some of the personnel deficiencies, but there is still way less talent on that side of the ball than anyone should be super happy about right now.

Still got the flaming thumbtack logo so there's that. ;)

Added sword elements to the helmet, shoulders & pants; numbers shaped like the corner of Tennessee.

    Meh...

Why? So, when DW4 has a bad game or bad spell of games the locals could call in the radio show demanding Griffin should start. F that. Let the kid take the reigns without all these extra baggage players backing him up. I love signing Weeden over anyone else on the market. No baggage, talented arm.

I just thought he would be a better backup is all. Younger, and more mobile. I wasn't talking about him being a starter.
