The genius of 45 is his continual downgrading of expectations. Any day (as his wife, business partner, staff member, or voter) that is only moderately horrible arrives like a wonderful surprise.

Rasmussen has Trump at 50% as of today. Gallup as of yesterday have his at 39% The key considerations are that Trump is historically low with the 15-34 year old demographic, his approval rating is at 33%. Hell, 66% of people in that age group agree that Trump is a racist and is mentally unfit for office. This is significant because the outcome of 2020 will largely hinge on how many of those in a historically low voter turnout demographic actually come out and vote. If they vote, Trump is screwed. If they don't, then Trump has a very good chance of re-election. Right now Trumps aggregate approval rating across all the polls is 42%, Donald Trump could **** an ape and still pull in the low to mid 40's after the convention and people vote on traditional party lines. So at a national level is it going to be close. What really matter is the electoral college, and how popular Trump is in those toss up states. Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio have a low opinion of Trump as of the last state by state poll, but that was nearly a month ago. Assuming that Trump does keep his approval rating at 42-50% and not at 39%-40%; an inference can be made that Americans really don't like their immigrants and love their guns. Time will tell.
Those of us that actually produce and not those that beg for others to take care of them enjoy the decrease in regulatory overreach and the costs associated with that. We enjoy the lowering of taxes and the reduction of government away from bureaucrats. I'm having the time of my life as are most entrepreneurs, businessman and people that create jobs!

They can't understand how him expelling 60 Russian "diplomats" PROVES there was no collusion. They can't stand that Trump has made N Korea STOP their nuke tests and missile launches simply be threatening to blow Kim up. They can't stand that the economy is STRONGER than it has ever been in history and it happened the second he was elected. While the wingnuts are out in full force beating their chest in delight of Trumps approval rating, we still need to remind them that it’s still the lowest approval rating of any president at this point in their presidency ever recorded. Trump has been very fortunate with the economy he inherited and is reaping the benefits of injecting steroids into it with a fiscally irresponsible tax plan, and unsafe deregulation’s. Trumps economic plan is basically riding it out in Roulette betting on black. Just like in life being born rich, staying out of jail during his shady career, with his health, and other issues, Trump is continuing his streak of being the luckiest a$$hole on earth. Ill give him that much. I think the main issue for his higher approval rating is just simply the economy doing well, keeping our wars out of the news, natural disaster lull, and mostly chosen ignorance. People got burnt out on watching the Trump show awhile ago and just aren’t paying attention to how incompetent his admin really is.
