It's a man's world. Becky Hammon is lucky, and I think it has been great that Poppovich sees her mind and ability, and has brought her on his team. How many other women or WNBA stars do you see coaching in the NBA? How many do you see as head coaches? None? Why? There are women just as brilliant as men, who are highly capable of coaching and leading an NBA team, just like numerous NBA players have done,

It's only because of discrimination that it doesn't happen, and certainly not because of experience, mindset or ability. Not all coaches were players, but women who were don't count, even if they had great skill or mindset. It's like that in all lines of work. When I grew up all the Principals in schools were men, yet almost all the teachers other than coaches were women. Today it is different in schools, but most lines of work still give men the top jobs, and coaching sports is probably the most discriminatory of all, even down to high school sports.

Believe me, if he had been a star player on a back to back to back to back championship team like Tina was, then he would have been in years ago.

What about an all-american in college and an NBA all star as a player and star coach for a mediocre team who nearly lost it's all time greatest player. Rudy went on to lead them to back to back NBA titles as a coach. Also, he enjoyed success as an Olympic coach. Not hating on Tina but damn they're screwing Rudy.

She was a really good basketball player. If it wasnt for Cooper and Swoopes, she woul be the best player on the team. That Comets dynasty team was stacked.

She was a great draft pick
I think we got our position because Swoops was pregnant.
Kind of a payoff since our 'Star' would not be available
    and
No one expected Cynthia Cooper to be as great as she was.
When Swoops comes back at the end of that season
We had like the first WNBA BIG THREE

Sure, I think Rudy deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but you can't deny Tina's worth of being there. Do you know what she accomplished? She was one of the best players ever to play basketball. Tina's awards included back to back to back to back WNBA Championships, 2-time Olympic gold medalist, 2000 WNBA All-Star selection (MVP) , 9-time WNBA All-Star selection, named to the All-WNBA team 8 times, member of the WNBA All-Decade Team, and 1st in WNBA all-time scoring.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I have previously done some study on corporate and management side of sporting industries where it is coming from. 'Sociology in Modern Sports' was the unit name. So is it correct that Title IX (amendment) still exists today and has been in use to restrict women entering the sporting profession whether it be a coach, a GM or anything else in between?

I found this good read on legal and laws within sports and school extra-curriculum activities from Google. If you want to express and learn with each other about more into this, by all means, feel free direct message me what you want to express and I try to share my views when I can.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer pursing or studying in the sporting industry or have any knowledge for sport corporate business. Honestly, bc I wasn't sure if I would found where I belong if I were to look for work in such a niche field especially in Australia. Could be different in the USA. Anyways, hit me up if you have something to add, (whether it be debate and discussion) or small talk about it. I'll be intrigued to know and learn more about it.
