You’re honestly having a discussion with yourself at this point... there’s plenty of data to support Springer excels in the leadoff position. There’s actually a lot of data to support Altuve being better, more productive in the 3 spot vs him batting leadoff or 2nd (which he did a lot of from 2014-2016). Lastly, Correa has typically done very well batting behind Altuve.

But yeah, go ahead and beat your drum for Springer to bat 5th or 6th...

This lineup was record-breaking with Springer batting leadoff being a huge part of it. As you said, you have absolutely zero data to back your standpoint... and its getting more and more embarassing that you continue to try and defend it.

God I love baseball, this subforum was my home for essentially the entire season last year. Nice to see most of the regulars back here and posting.

The path back to the WS has started.

    So

    Springer
    Altuve
    Correa

    is great, and

    Altuve
    Correa
    Springer

    is absurd. Whatever.

Your original premise was to move Springer way down in the lineup.

Altuve is a better #3 hitter than he is a lead off hitter.

Unfortunately, this is approaching cangrejero levels of idiocy and redundancy.

When I first started my Springer thread, he was in a slump.

    3rd vs Righties
4th vs Lefties. Thats my present position.

I love this team, thank god baseball is back.

Based on absolutelly nothing but arguing just to argue.

Springer has thrived in the leadoff position moreso than he has any other spot for his career.

This offense is as dynamic as any.... and you want to tinker for the sake of tinkering.
