Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly undergone emergency heart surgery.

The actor, 70, underwent surgery for a catheter valve replacement on Thursday at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, reports TMZ.

But Schwarzenegger experienced complications during the procedure when the valve replacement failed, leading to emergency open heart surgery.

The actor is now in stable condition, according to TMZ.

And this isn’t the first time Schwarzenegger has gone under the knife for heart surgery. He had an aortic valve replaced in 1997.

The actor previously opened up about the surgery after breaking six ribs in a motorcycle crash in 2001.

“It was very painful, much more painful than the heart surgery,” he said at the time. “A rib breaking is, like, the worst.”

Schwarzenegger was also in a second motorcycle accident in 2006, but he walked away with only a few minor bruises and scratches.

He actually did an interview in 2016 that said he had both aortic and pulmonary valve replacements in the 90s at the same time. After the first surgery, it was determined in the next 24 hours or so that one of the replacements had failed. He had to have a another surgery with very slim odds of survival within 48 hours of the first surgery. This was around the time of "True Lies". Fast forward to now when I guess one of the valve replacements was failing and needing to be replaced.

It turns out that the heart valve issues run in his family (on his Mother's side) and he has had his heart checked with every physical for years to keep track of the situation. That is how it was determined he needed the replacements initially. I don't think his huge physical size is doing him any favors because his heart has to work harder to pump blood in support of his body size.

I think we are fortunate that Arnold is still with us. Get well, Arnold! Scary stuff.

Yeah..... I think 50+ years of pumping horse steroids into his veins had something to do with his heart issues.

Umm...it’s a congenital heart defect that has nothing to do with steroids. Arnold has admitted to being a “light” steroids user during his competition days in the run-up to competitions. But, you’ll are free to believe what you want. If that were the case, then I’m sure we would have seen at least some reporting on that aspect of it. Just because y’all are little girlie men. ;)

Well, he wasn't a light steroid user -- he took as much as everyone else -- he was off for a period of time I believe when he was gov but he is on something again. He got pretty flabby for a while but he is quite cut again for 70 year old.

FYI his BMI was 30 when he was at his peak bodybuilding... THICC.

I’m going off what he said he did. But, I guess you were there? Sure, he could be withholding the truth but his competition weight was a slimmer 235 pounds compared to guys who were obviously doing way more steroids competing at 300 pounds with much more meat on them. Arnold didn’t get big because of steroids. He put in the work. If you don’t want to believe that, then that is your prerogative.

Arnold is only a "light" steroid user if you compare him to Coleman or other freakazoids today.

He was a heavy abuser by any normal person standards. But that is to be expected in his profession so I'm not judging.

All the bodybuilders that have passed away is due to a bad heart. It is not congenital.

So, the fact that his Mom and her Mom had the same problems has nothing to do with it. Unlikely.

Alright, no more from me. Suck lack of faith in Arnold. He's a tool created by drugs. You win.
