i'm a big lebron fan, but the streak feels fake with an 8 point finals game in there. i know it's a regular season streak, but that just taints the whole thing. and not like an injured 8 points. a choking 8 points. just can't take the streak seriously with that disappointment in there. i mean i guess the streak is still 7 seasons since then so it's still impressive. ***he had another 8 point game against indy in the playoffs but he got 5 fouls in his first 13 minutes in some of the shadier "let's extend this series" reffing you'll see so that was understandable.
They showed it during the Portland game.. I think it's crazy how they are avoiding it though. It's a freaking game winner.
Some "fans" just talk about anything Harden possibly does wrong. No matter how many wins he is delivering some "fans" will find a game where we win and talk about a few missed shots.
OKC is in trouble. What they have going for them is all they have to do is finish in front of the Nuggets and Clippers, both of whom will have two more losses than them after tonight with only 5-6 games left.
so glad, but man ND did everything they could to blow this game. up 5 with 20 seconds left in regulation and uconn (!!!) ended up with the shot to win. ND up 4 with 50 seconds to go in OT gets a wide open layup, shoots it into the bottom of the backboard, gets rebound gets fouled on the putback layup, layup bounces out, misses 1 ft, then up 3 misses 2 more ft's and uconn ties it. but man, i didn't think there could be another buzzer beater after last year. insane that they said uconn has lost 7 straight OT games. if that's not THE example of "great teams don't win close games, they avoid them," i don't know what is.
i know they aren't good but i really don't want to play them in the first round. they may not hit it very often, but they have too much of a ceiling to me. i remember them making shots in the Christmas game. i remember roberson shooting like 50% on 3's in the playoffs last year (not that he's playing). i hate having to rely on a team doing poorly at things you can't necessarily force them to be poor at (like a 20% 3 point shooter making 3's) or playing with a lack of discipline in the clutch. russ may be an idiot but he's a freakish athlete idiot who could just have a stretch of shooting and playmaking that's tough to stop. and george is a very good athlete who can get going. and they are physical. give me an offensively-challenged utah, or defensively-challenged minny, or the pelicans.
I remember Roberson hitting 3/21 FTs in the 1st round last year and being completely psyched out by the end of the series.
i just mean he was 7-14 on 3's in the first 4 games and he was taking the same open 3's everyone gives him and we were relying on him to suck per usual. he didn't. relying on okc to suck per usual is what their opponent will be doing. maybe they won't. minny/new orleans/utah just don't have that ceiling. your opponent's floor doesn't matter when you're the favorite.
If OKC doesn't miss the playoffs, my next preferred outcome is for them to face the Rockets in the 1st round and be totally humiliated 4-0 where the wheels fall off and the dysfunction can't be denied by WB apologists. Not scared of them one bit. If the Rockets play defense, the Thunder will crumble. Third best option I want is for them to finish 7th and be crushed by the Warriors.
Agreed. They REALLY better hang on to that 6th seed or they can be humiliated in the first round Rocket River
