I think Westbrook MVP will forever have an asterisk on it. He'll be known as triple double champion and never as a World Champion.
We might as well prepare for how fast hardens mvp will be swept under the rug it will be forgotten within a week of him winning it by the sports media. Like another poster said they will find a way for him to never win it again. But a nba title should remedy that!
Finally got around to watching whole thing and all I can say is holy **** that's damning.... The one thing I didn't see touched on is the herd mentality among the media voters now that's it transparent.....you know a % of the media figuratively stand around the water cooler being sure they aren't the screwball voting against the rest of the office. That was pretty evident by all of ESPN voting for WB
Russ, Rose, Nash, AI, Malone, Barkley... MVPs without championships exist, though are definitely in the minority.
Half of those people don't even deserve a ballot - I don't see how being a host on a show that you rarely speak on qualifies you as a decision maker. The thing is, players have real money in the form of contract bonuses attached to this - the criteria needs to be spelled out so players don't get screwed like Harden did at least once.
To all Rockets Fans please make the video Viral, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit any social media. These voters arrogance need to be called out big time. James Harden no doubt will love the Houston Fans even more. Chris Paul, Clint Capela and the whole team will appreciate fans even more for sticking up for them.
Stephen Curry should return 2 MVP Awards to James Harden. Russell Westbrook should return the MVP Award to James Harden. Charles Barkley and Karl Malone should return the MVP Award to Michael Jordan. David Robinson should return the MVP Award to Hakeem Olajuwon. Derrick Rose should return the MVP Award to LeBron James. Steve Nash Should return 1 MVP Award to Kobe Bryant and 1 MVP Award Shaquille O'Neal. Great Job Voters
Ultimately it will cut his career short because you only have a certain number of jumps in your knees. Especially for someone who relies arhleticism as much as Westbrook, he needs to conserve those as much as possible. (See DRose)
No it really wasn't. It was manufactured as stated multiple times here and proven with stats in the video. If you would of watched it you would know that.
Lol of course I watched many of his games. It was amazing. Don't be so salty, and don't presume to know how much I saw of last season. I think Harden was more valuable obviously but I can see why people voted Westbrook. That's my point.
