Hell no....any alpha male would have said the same thing. If you don't believe you are the best then you are basically a beta.

I supported Harden when he was ridiculed for saying essentially the same thing a few seasons back.

One time I was DJing a party and I got on the mic and dedicated the next song to myself. Me and LBJ are alpha dawgs.

Since he voted for himself, now watch the media talk about it and start campaigning for him for a week.

For those upset with what he said, what did you expect him to say? This is what I expect him to say, what I expect KD to say, what I expect Harden to say. When you are a superstar carrying your team, that's the sort of confident mentality you SHOULD have.

I think you severely underestimate Harden if you feel that replacing him with LeBron would make our team MORE efficient/productive. Harden is a better iso player, better 3 point shooter and better at free throw line.

Let's not change this narrative, we want LeBron here to play alongside Harden, not supplant his role as alpha on team and especially not replace him.

    I can't.

Let me start by saying, Cleveland is a horrible city and Ohio, in general, is pretty terrible. However, I went to University in Cleveland and thereby have reason to claim them as my favorite team in the East. As long as Lebron is with the Cavs (or Rockets) I cannot bash him or maintain any ill will towards him. Now you know I root for the Cavs [unless they're playing the Rockets].

Harden just last season said he thought winning was more important than stats, obviously referring to the race between he and Westbrook for the MVP. That's a clear vote for himself folks, yet Harden wasn't ridiculed for that statement.

LeBron is averaging 27/9/9, should definitely be in the MVP conversation, and will most likely finish runner up. This is simply Harden's year. His commitment to the defensive side of the ball has proven that to me.

I don't subscribe to the alpha/beta bullsh*t. Insecure chumps use that stuff to convince themselves they are something they are not. Game recognize game.

For an "alpha", Lebron is the most insecure superstar on Earth. Everyone is constantly telling him how great he is, but it isn't enough for him. Harden knows how good he is despite everyone telling him to fall back and STFU. Harden sure as hell doesn't promote his stats as much as Lebron.

Well at least he replied to someone on the ig post by sportscenter he said "ofcourse I would wouldnt you, but jharden13 been definitely cooking all year long plus they #1 seed in the West with 60 plus Ws".

Can't disagree with him, anyone would say the same thing at least he recognizes harden's great season.

This is such fake BS. This is modern rap culture trash.

People think an alpha is a guy who runs around beating his chest and talking about himself. A true alpha doesn't have the absurd level of insecurity that these modern NBA guys show.

“Love me some me” attitude is why both Harden and LeBron will never work.

Some Alpha dogs work well together while some Alpha dogs don’t......they don’t.

Not even two months ago: Does this sound like an MVP to you?

Is this your King? Is this your King James?

Naw, *I'M* your King James. AND your MVP.

I think a lot of us are missing the point with what he said. It's not that he said he thinks he is the MVP...it's his style. Does he really have to demean and degrade his teammates and former teammates in doing so? Does he really need to speek out his own narrative? Dude...the whole media sucks your...just shut up!

Greatest player on the planet argument. Same stuff when Karl Malone and Charles Barkley won MVPs
over Michael Jordan. It happens. Harden had to get over Curry and his lesser numbers in 14/15 , so
LeBron has to get over it as well.
