I didn't see the game at all, I'm happy with the convincing win. Looks like Nene and Black played quite well from their stats. Do you guys feel that they can make meaningful contributions against the big teams in the playoffs? Edit: I just saw the highlights. Tarik with a dunk! A nice layup too, after muscling his way to the basket plus a block! Nene was looking somewhat like his own self. Nice! If we can get that every night in the playoffs, Capela's job will get easier.
On offense at this point, Qi really can only play the 5. He’s just not comfortable out there as a stretch 4 as last night showed. Pairing him with Black does him no favors at all. We all know that Qi also doesn’t have the body that he will eventually have. He can guard some 4s, and his length causes problems. Injuries haven’t helped him, but it’s still pretty early. I’d be concerned if we needed him to develop into a rotation player, but our future doesn’t hinge on his quick development. Hope he keeps working and can keep a positive attitude.
THREE Double-Digit winning streaks, same saeson .... '18 Rockets '12 Spurs** '07 Mavs '00 Lakers* '81 Sixers '71 Bucks* *won title **Harden's late 3PT, Game 6, was the decider.
Rockets just blowing teams away even with almost half their rotation out. Just "leisurely playing the game" as Clyde so eloquently put it lol. These last seven games should just be about cruising to the playoffs. Rest guys on a continuous rotation but also play the full roster two or three times just to keep them sharp.
Really looking to see more of the end of the bench. I mean they were up by 30 for like 3 quarters...like, rotate them in. Don't just have to unleash a crap bomb on the last 7 minutes of the game. Siiiighhh... the problems fans of great teams have lol Qi, if nothing else, is going to be a really solid defender. I don't know if he can develop the shot enough to play the 4, it seems like the potential is still there...but backup 5 next year would be sweet. Won't lose the rim protection like you do with Nene or Black and if he can develop any of that offensive potential that would be sweet. If he does develop a competent corner 3 shot...and you can play both he and Capela together? That's some real scary defense. Like, turn a team into jump shooters real quick.
That would be amazing. Zhou shouldn't lose heart. He needs to release his jumper quicker, and develop more strength and stamina. He needs to work a lot more in the off season. I wish we had Hartenstein on the squad right now. He is looking very good on the Vipers. He has gotten a lot quicker, he can crash and dunk forcefully with both hands. I didn't think he was ready for the NBA, so I had no objection to the 1 year RGV contract.
I saw them back in the 1970's before their '79 hit, "Celebration." In the '60's and '70's, there were frequently 3 or 4 bands on a playbill, and there was an amazing amount of Funk and Soul groups playing before the headliners. Kool and the Gang, Sly and the Family Stone, Sam and Dave. It was an eclectic trip. Literally. Seeing those groups while trippin' was wild, then you'd have the really great rock and psychedelic rock groups following them. Crazy! Back to the game - I may have figured out something. Bill should have Sunday's off. Maybe he partied Saturday night. Yeah, you can party even when you're old as dirt. I'm an expert. He didn't seem himself against the Pistons. Got names wrong, etc., but damn, he was good last night. Keep it going, Bill!
Have you seen these guys live? This song came on the radio when my dad was driving me around as a kid. He went nuts. It's something I'll never forget. Back to the game... we're friggin awesome! One more win and we've sewn up the west.
hey i was just wondering, how can we watch the Friday game vs Phoenix? I noticed it is not playing on attsn because of astros game and didnt see an alternate. Anyone got the scoop?
Last three games, Rockets have trailed 13 seconds total. Point-Diff Increase happened too. I sure wouldn't mind 65 wins to become Top 20 All-Time in that regard, but yeah, healthy playoffs is the main thing.
