How can you even say you wanted a mfker like Dreydumb Green on our team PJ all the way. Cool guy, immediately bond with the team.
if he was on the rockets you would love him, he is just that kind of guy A player who you hate on other teams....but if he was on your team you would love him. I was the same with Chris Paul, i never liked him before he joined the Rockets
PJ is not a good enough playmaker to be Green. Too good offensively to be Hayes. He is an awesome PJ Tucker though.
Tucker making 3's is beautiful like Harden blocking shots... Because we already know the other end is going down.
Wow your late.. Guess what.. Chris Paul is the Robin we been looking for for Harden... Guess what... Clint and Harden is what Dwight and Harden should have been... Guess what... Rockets are pretty damn good
Why do people make up logic like this. I never hated Chris Paul. And we all hated Derek Fisher in the fortunately brief second he was "here". Guys like Fisher, Bowen, Griffin and Green aren't a dime a dozen... Fortunately. It's one thing to be chippy, it's another to get away with blatant malice.
passing, defence, rebounding, he is more athletic. Offensive awareness, Defensive awareness. He is better at most things. Lets not do what some Rockets fans do and over rate some of our players like they are some great players.
that really doesn't mean much, Tucker may be having a good streak from three but that is just one aspect of the game. Draymond is a lot better all round than Tucker. And i mean A Lot better. Draymond kills us constantly and i remember people laying in to Tucker when Draymond killed us in Houston this season
My only gripe with PJ was that he was passing up open 3s during the first half of the year. Over the past two months he's been FANTASTIC at having a quick trigger and taking the 3s when he's open. His defense, intensity and passion have been consistent all year long... heck, right out of the gate against GS he had some key hustle plays and offensive rebounds in the last 3 minutes, without which we would have lost. I also love the emotion he plays with and the fact that he's not afraid to hold James (and others) accountable on the defensive end.
Just as people might criticize PJ too heavily when we're losing, I think its easy to overpraise him right now because we are winning. He fits this team well, and has been more consistent with his corner 3. The issue when we had that rough stretch without Harden was that his limited offense became a liability. PJ allows us to go small, which can be an advantage, but it can also hurt us when he struggles with bigger athletes. When we lost to the Clippers, Harrel was owning him. When we lost to the Lakers, Kuzma had 38 against him and RA. PJ struggled vs. Adams when we played OKC earlier in the year as well, and Adams was owning the offensive glass. I know its tough to put too much on him for a few losses - everyone has a bad game here or there. But historically this team has hit an offensive snag in the playoffs, and we'll need him to be able to hit that corner 3 on occasion and at critical moments if we expect to advance to where we want to go.
He is not anywhere the same as Green. PJ is a great 3 & d energy guy. Green is a basketball swiss army knife who does everything well except for the 3. How are they the same? Defensively?
