I'm not a big fan of hers though I do like some of her songs, but why has she worn all that make-up all these years when she looks like this without it.
Yeah, I saw this picture yesterday and thought the same. She looks great like this. Maybe she's testing this look for the reaction and might dial down the Barbie-doll makeup layers; but somehow I fear the famous image is the famous image and the clown look will be back.
looks much better w/out. reminds me of sandra bullock - i never got why people found her so beautiful. she always seems pretty plain to me. then she came into where i worked wearing no make-up, jeans, t-shirt and flip-flops (no bra either ) - stunningly gorgeous.

Yeah theres not many girls out there that look pretty without makeup but the ones that are, you get offended seeing them cover it up with makeup
When she lived in Austin, everyone I knew that saw her said the same thing. One of the most people in the world in real life. She's not photogenic in the sense that she looks way better in real life.
It might be no make-up, but it's still a very carefully produced shot at a very specific angle, maybe even some photoshop involved to edit the shape of the face, making the lips bigger etc.
Would. Very gorgeous but how much if photoshopped? She should accentuate the freckles more. She also must have lot a ton (literally) of weight recently.
I'm always amazed at the power of photography. It's like the photos of the most beautiful place on earth -- some amazing photo of the Grand Canyon or Lake Atitlan or the fjords or whatever, and then you go there in real life and you're like "eh, it's alright." Real life can't compete with photos.
