1. Agreed! I'm over it. 2. I know. I legit LOLed at your post because it's true and because I walked right into that dumb cliche. However, fwiw, in real life where I'm not trying to maintain some sort of anonimity, my response is more like, "I work at ____ in _____" and then I try to change the subject because my job is so boring that in talking about it I sometimes pass out on the spot.
I work in Oil and Gas too. IE this morning i felt a disturbance in my lower intestines. I wanted to push it out, but wasn't sure if it was Oil or Gas. I just held it til I got to a toilet.
