What is up with the "barring injury" caveat everyone keeps using? If Harden gets injured, he is still the MVP, IMO.

I completely agree with all this, but it’s weird when people talk about harden’s MVP moments this year they gloss over him being 2-0 over the warriors. 1 being a win on the road and the other with harden dominating the 4th quarter with a stepback dagger right in curry’s face and blocking his shot on the other end.

 

there really hasn’t been anything to discuss for weeks now...Harden should be a unanimous MVP like Steph in 15-16 and like Lebron should’ve been in 12-13

The dominoes are falling. Nothing is guaranteed, but if he didn't win it, I'd be shocked. Just his physical toughness alone is MVP-worthy.

I would be SHOCKED if he is unanimous if people like Michelle Beadle have a vote they'll vote for AD or LeBron with their 1st place vote. I think he should win be a comfortable margin but I would not be surprised if the gap between Harden and the #2 place guy is about the same or smaller as Harden and Westbrook was last season.

I never expected the Rocket's to have such a dominant regular season, so I never thought Harden would have enough separation to keep the haters from voting for someone else. But here we are. This thing has been over for weeks if not months. Nobody else is even close to deserving a first place vote, let alone actually being in the conversation for the award. Harden has the stats and he has the wins.

The only thing to talk about is whether he gets it unanimously, but it's such a landslide at this point that with the voters being open, it'd be stupifying to explain how you voted for someone else. I think he may actually get the unanimous decision.
