Imagine if DJ did take a pay cut to play here (which I think he would be willing to do) we would have 48 min of elite point guard play, 48 min of defenses trying to defend the lob - our 3 point shooters will have 48 min of open looks - that would be insane - good luck to defenses trying to stop that all game long

How do you "use" a guy who's Injured ?! You use him to take up a large percentage of your salary cap , a roster spot and a seat the trainers table ?! You use him to sit on the sidelines and be a cheerleader ?! You certainly don't use him to WIN basketball games when he cant suit up. He's missed greater than a quarter of the season in half the years he's been in the league including the last two ..... and isn't getting any younger or healthier.

    games played each year starting 08/09: 81 , 60 , 73 , 55 , 18 , 77 , 75 , 77 , 60 , 49.

My belief is Morey prepares so much for this stuff, there is probably plan Z on a spreadsheet somewhere.

Big 6? Are we projecting a Terrance Jones and Asik comeback? Or Lin and Asik?

Gotta keep CP3, Ariza, Luc, Gordon, Tucker and Capella.

I'd take Paul George over Lebron.

I think I'd probably keep Harden, too. But that's just me.

In this cap environment, considering the teams that have room, and the supply of C's, I HIGHLY doubt Capela gets a max offer.

From who? And the teams that have cap room, also draft high in the draft and can get cost controlled cheaper C's.

You just can't say "player is playing good"..."someone" will max them. It is about the market.

People keep throwing Paul George's name out there. Clearly from a roster/player perspective he would be a home run fit on the Rockets.

    But....

Can someone lay out some "somewhat realistic" scenarios in which the Rockets could obtain him at the salary he will be expecting?

That's a given... didn't think it was necessary to list him since he is the Franchise!

Love's had to subjugate his game whilst in Cleveland.

He hasn't been able to play his natural position.

Take him off Cleveland, and you'll see the post up/downtown game...along with the rebounding...a combination that makes him a rare player.

    Perfect for us.
