If people think we're better than the Warriors, then yes it's fool's gold. But this team is a legitimate contender that can win 60+. I think we're a step above everyone else right now.
Right it's too early to say we're better than them, but they haven't been that great when Curry sits. If Curry gets injured then they might not be the best
fwiw: Curry has only missed 2 games and they are 1-1 in those games, with the loss to the Kings And they were at full strength for all 5 of their other losses = HOU, BOS, OKC, MEM, DET The one stand-out stat is that Curry is shooting only 36.8% from three for the season....and a miserable 30.7% at Home.
Here's a teachable moment to help you get outside more often: Worry when you start failing and while you have active control over it Enjoy when your success because it doesn't always happen. Stay in that moment instead of falling on things that aren't real. Mindfulness breh
I suppose. I also like to simply enjoy great basketball and not make myself miserable for no reason, but you do you.
We're on pace to win 66 games. That seems about right to me if we continue to play this kind of quality. If we play the rest of the season relatively injury free, I could see us getting 68 or 69 wins. We're very good and we win even when things aren't all going our way. That's a good sign.
I can see this forum completely turn on the team when we start losing to better teams. But it's all part of the learning process, we will be just fine, just need everyone to be healthy
Yeah that Indiana game is a prime example. They cut the lead and I was thinking it would be a long game. But almost in the blink of an eye the Rockets were up by 20 again and never let them cut in again. Over the past few seasons, that game would have came down to the wire.
Not guaranteed that we lose that many games in a row. The 2014-2015 team only lost three games in a row once and that was in the Conference Finals Games 1-3.
Team X is a good team about to face an opponent with the best record and has been blowing away teams. Which team should be more worried?
I said before that Dec and Jan is going to tell us who this team is. We are built to compete with the best though.
They also had to play Grizzlies at full strength in 2 games without Chris Paul (and EG in one game). Those Grizzlies started out the season hot before they impoded. All these other teams including the Cavs tonight are lucky they get to play these trash version of the Grizzlies now.
Part of me is concerned we are too focused on the number 1. Look at gsw when, they were so focused on 73 wins.. part of me is worried that we will play hard to keep number 1 while Golden State settles in to,the 2nd seed and nurses all their supposed booboo’s while resting up. Face it. We are an older team and we need rest. Hopefully the warriors and raptors drop a couple more while we win a couple and we can let off the gas and even shut down Paul, harden, Ariza and the likes. I would hate to have this spectacular season end up seeing us puke up game 1 of the WCF due to fatigue vs. a well rested warriors.
Yessum, We only need to go 8-4 to secure it. To put that in perspective we are 31-4 in our last 35 games.
If it happens it happens. You get the 1st seed when opportunity is there. That 73 win season was greedy and hats off to them. Easy to think injuries and forget they were leading the series until Donkey kicked the cart, got suspended in the process, and their starters openly laughed at Lebron for being less than a man because he was complaining. Yeah, boohoo injuries. You get either a cookie or cupcake for achieving regular season history. They chose cupcake.
