And what's your point? Did you actually listen to the video you posted? What does that have to do with Mueller and his investigation now?
Deji, good guy that he is, god bless him, has a soft spot for the Russians and their geopolitical aims.
My point is that Robert Mueller was the FBI Director who helped stump for the psy-op that led to the ill-fated invasion of Iraq. He's also the architect of the unlawful detention of many Muslim Americans after 9/11. Yet for some reason, the same people that spent years hating him for those things and calling him a war criminal (Keith Olberman in particular comes to mind) are now promoting him as a noble, trustworthy, apolitical savior of democracy. To me, it's a very discomforting "We've always been at war with Eurasia" moment.
And the same people that supported him with all their hearts and minds now think he is a deep state black hat Democrat running a witch hunt to railroad Trump.
Do really believe that about me? And when you say "the Russians" are you trying to insinuate I'm a supporter of the Russian government, or do you mean "the Russians" in a xenophobic David Brock kind of way, like Trump refers to "the Mexicans," or Netanyahu refers to "the Arabs," or how the Iranian press refers to "the Jews?"
Well -- I think that's as ridiculous as anything else. Mueller is very conservative, as most in the FBI would be. Trump is truly an anti-establishment figure and he does represent "change." It's not hard to imagine that the powers that be would feel threatened by this change. I don't think the "deep state" is in any sense a grand conspiracy theory as much as the DC establishment pushing back on a guy who campaigned against them. Why wouldn't they? The thing I often wonder is what's worse: his walking back on his populism and embracing an extreme supply-side GOP wet dream, or what would have resulted if he really would have "drained the swamp." I honestly don't know. I predicted him to be an American Berlusconi and that seems unfair...to Silvio Berlusconi. Trump is so absurdly unstable that I wish the stakes weren't so high so I wouldn't feel guilty laughing about it. I also don't think that has as much to do with Republican or Democratic identities as much as I think it's useful for newly rehabilitated neo-cons and establishment (read: hawkish) Democrats to exploit tribal prejudice to create political capital for more wars, which I think are a turrible idea. If that notion makes me a "Putin Puppet", then so is Barbara Lee and Ron Paul.
I wouldn't think he would, but I also would think he'd be one of the last to accuse me of being an apologist for the Putin regime.
I hear that. But to so very many Americans, he's a professional lawman and all that stands between our present and a possibly dissolution of our pseudo-democracy. There's a whole new level of horror, for many. Perhaps we can say that's hysterical and wrong-headed.
You're one of my favorite posters who shows up randomly. It has nothing to do with "the others". And yes, I think you're more of a russophile than most people around here. Given your travels I don't see why you wouldn't be... pero no le hace a mi.
What does this mean? And what does this mean? The elected Republicans among the DC establishment aren't pushing back ni verga. The NYC FBI blackmailed Comey into pretending that there was more to the Clinton email nonsense at the final, crucial moment. I rather think that is pushing forward. You really are the Glenn Greenwald of this board. The idea that people of my political stripe are hungering to go to war with Russia is abominably stupid and you should be ashamed of yourself for implying it. We'll deal with Trump and his idiot family and associates first, and then we'll deal with Russia. It will not be a military action, but it will be monumentally painful and, if done properly, it will change their society. And that does not make me a warmonger, so FO.
Actually Mueller was going by the intelligent agency that he was referrring to in the video you posted. Also in reguards to the unlawful detention Mueller threaten to resign because of it. As for Olberman I don’t speak for him. But the truth is out there about the integrity of Mueller. I don’t the constant attacks on him personaly. If there is one high person I trust to run the investigation it is Mueller.
