Just looking back on our 13 games, since the all-star break.. We have played 11 teams that are currently in the play-offs, 12 teams have a winning record.. 10 out of the 13 games have been on the road.. We lost one game by a bucket to the freaking raptors… Just look back on what we have accomplished in just the last month, we are not slipping by any stretch of the imagination.. I am really proud of the way the team responded after the raptors loss. Sure, some of the games are single digit wins, but in none of the games we felt threatened in the last minute.. Just reflecting back on the caliber of competition we have faced and the fact that these teams have more to lose then we do, so are playing at a higher level and yet we handily beat them makes me feel good.. Best regular season rocket team by ten miles.... 1. @ Twolves Win 120-102, butler played till Q3, the team were losing by double digits with him, 4th place at time 2. @ Nuggets Win 119-114 In 6th place at the time 3. @ Jazz Win 96-85 One of the hottest teams won 21-23 games 4. @LAC Win 105-92 7th place at the time 5. Bos Win 123-120 2nd in eastern conference fully loaded 6. @ OKC Win 122-112 One of the hottest teams since C Brewer trade (go figure) 7. Milwaukee Win 110-99 playoff team, but we should beat them 8. @ Toronto Loss 108-105 had a chance to win in the last minute (17 game win streak) best home team 9. @ Dallas Win 105-82 should have beaten them worst 10.@ San Antonio Win 109-93 Should have beaten them worst 11.LAC Win 101-96.. team now 9th place still winning record second meet in 8 games 12.@ New Orleans 107-101 rockets stepped off the gas pedal, team fell from 5th place to 7th place 13.@ T wolves 129-120 like the earlier game 4th Q distraction allowed them back, fell from 6th to 8th place
I’m not used to having a Team that’s actually winning a lot. All these years of waiting and not giving up on morey and harden are all worth enjoying this season!
For a little perspective... '17-'18 Rockets with Harden, Paul, Capela: 38-2 (.950) with +12.4 point differential '16-'17 Warriors with Curry, Durant, Thompson, Green: 23-9 (.719) with +6.6 point differential '15-'16 Warriors with Curry, Thompson, Green: 69-7 (.908) with +11.7 point differential
18 teams in NBA history have finished at or above .800 (including the last 3 Warriors teams). 12 of those 18 won titles.
1 of those that didn't win the title was the 2015-16 Warriors (I like to bring this up whenever I can)
If we didnt lose to the Raptors, our winning streak would of been at 22 games winning streak.... If only Joe Johnson didnt play and instead Gerald Green played that Raptors game, the streak could of still been alive.
dude we all wish Joe Johnson could get his allstar form back.. and have a mini renaissance like Korver did for Cavs last year.. but inspite of all that we are still winning.. i still believe Iso Joe can help, and we need as many weapons to counter the playoffs as we can get... injury risk is still very real, and you need as many confident peices that can provide a positive impact as possible.. Lets hope ISO joe can find his 40% three point shooting form before the playoffs and atleast help carry one or two games..
I wouldn't. If you beat the Warriors, there's no excuse to lose in the Finals to any EC team. It would be massively disappointing and erase the victory over GS. It would be flat out embarrassing and a choke job and media jokes/hate would be right back to what it was this past summer after the Spurs loss.
Talk about the rockets getting no respect. The Toronto Raptors have beaten us both times we played them and have the second highest point differential in the league. They are very good.
