Hearing Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman argue about whether the Warriors or the Rockets are better with both teams at full strength got me to thinking about how both team fare when their stars are injured.

I looked at the Warriors "big 4" versus our "big 3" and these are the results:

    Warriors
    With Durant/Curry/Thompson/Green = 30-10
    Without Curry = 13-7
    Without Durant = 8-2
    Without Thompson = 2-2
    Without Green = 9-0

    Rockets
    With Harden/Paul/Capela = 38-2
    Without Harden = 5-3
    Without CP3 = 11-7
    Without Capela = 2-4

I was surprised to see the Dubs were 9-0 w/o DreamOn, but the only real test there was a home game against the Blazers. Without Curry, though, they lost home games to the Kings, Nuggets, Hornets and Clippers.

As for when both teams' stars are healthy, the Dubs have a .750 record, while the Rox are at .950.

In case you're wondering, the Raptors are 2-2 without Lowry, and DeRozan hasn't missed a game so far.

Rockets are just the better team and they are primed to win it all this year. Hope they do it.
