Another thing that this signing taught us is that John McClain might be in the mix with this front office. He kept tweeting that the Texans were trying to sign Mathieu. I even clowned him for it. We're going to have to start taking him serious now.
I'm sure there's some risk involved in this signing, but it certainly puts a lot of fears about this off-season to rest.
To be fair I think he's always had pretty good access to information from the Texans, they feed him for sure (no pun intended but insert your jokes here). The problem is that he was always too big of a buffoon to realize that they weren't telling him everything, or when he turned his own speculation into fact. Like when he was made to look like a fool when we signed JJo and Manning.
